He legit struggles to kick a ball correctly and you want his as a no10 😅
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like Lampard. He couldn't pass for chit either but was always there in the box with goals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol....what are you talking about? Lampard wasn't very nimble and technical on the ball, but he was a very good passer. Cross field balls to switch the play, crosses, balls over the top, through balls, set pieces - he could deliver it all. Imagine comparing him to Havertz who actually can't pass. Lampard was never a liability in midfield. Havertz was a genuine liability in midfield for us with his sloppiness and languid play and we all heaved a collective sigh of relief when Arteta moved him upfront where he was least useless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lampard was absolutly chit passing. Crossfield my arrse. Gerrard was the crossfield passer not Lampard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gerrard being a better passer than him has nothing to do with the fact Lampard was a pretty good passer and Havertz is facking garbage. It's like talking about Scholes if I started talking about Gerrard. Elite midfielders being better passers than Lampard doesn't mean he's not different league from Havertz.

I am not interested in singing the praises of Havertz passing. Because I know he lacks it at the very highest level. But he is able to see that pass and is not as bad as you are making out. And Havertz is very good at reading the game defensively and attacking. He wins duels in the air and on the ground, sure he is gangly and clumsy but he is mentally cool and technically excellent which is why he can play in any position competently as he has done for Germany.
Watch this for a pass.

That's why I want Arteta to get a genuine striker and Olmo. That way you have a link play around Havertz and a faster striker creating space for all those in midfield.

"he is able to see that pass" can be said about pretty much anyone that plays in the Premier League, so it means little. It's funny that even before opening your Youtube link, I knew that was the pass you'd refer to, where he was in acres of space to pick his pass, with acres of space to play it into with Spurs' suicidal high line. I'd expect David Raya to be able to make that pass given that time and space. When I'm criticizing his passing (and many other facets of his game), I'm referring to his ability to execute consistently and not the ability to have a highlight moment like any other player that makes the Premier League roster.
We have more than enough players in our team that "wins duels" and it's not too much to ask that an expensive attacker, who is our highest wage earner, should be able to provide more inspiration and creativity and invention further up the pitch, rather than being a poor man's Ji Sung Park. And FFS, he's not "technically excellent"! Do you know what technique means in football? Iniesta or David Silva were "technically excellent" (or Cazorla for us). A gangly plodder like Havertz who the ball regularly bounces off because of his sheite touch and control isn't "technically excellent"?

We need all, but I disagree we need those any more than we need a striker. Arsenal have had perpetual striking problems since RVP left us - Aubameyang in his peak form being a rare exception. Was recently watching old season highlights and the number of goals Henry could conjure from nothing was incredible. I remember how much I resented Giroud and Havertz makes Giroud look like prime Ronaldo de Lima. I remember many brilliant strikes from Giroud that I can't even imagine Havertz attempting, nevermind scoring.
In order of priority, I'd go:

Havertz has scored 9 goals in the two tournaments that count. Imagine where we would be without him. So much for a player who can't "execute consistently" .
The fact Havertz is an Arsenal player and Arteta is wedded to him. I would rather use him in that scenario than trying to sell him which is NOT going to happen to a team 2nd in the league and the only proper challengers to Liverpool only because of his contribution.

Imagine where we'd be without him? What does that even mean? So if a player is not good enough to match the ambitions of a team seeking to win the title, then we should all take solace in the fact that "at least he's not as bad as Championship level players like Nketiah"? It seems Wenger over many years trained many Arsenal fans to embrace mediocrity (despite often outspending a more successful team like Liverpool) because in their thinking, you can't really fail if you aspire to nothing. How can any serious fan who harbours ambitions of us winning the title be defending the mediocrity of Havertz upfront because "imagine where we'd be without him"?

And for sure, I'd rather sell Havertz and replace him. The problem is despite Jenius' attempts to portray him as some absolute beast for us, no club would be as stupid as we were to spend £65m on him and over £300k in wages, so we're stuck with him. He'd probably run out his contract with us, and some club like Leverkusen will get him free, with a big pay cut.
