The lack of buying a striker because Havertz had some success in attack (false 9) last season is the reason for our problems. Arteta should have trusted Havertz in midfield and bought a proper striker or sold Havertz and replaced him with another no.8.

Jesus leading the attack against Monaco looked better. Pep sold Jesus because he is too small and too slow to do that in the premier league and although Havertz has the build to do that in PL he is also slow and clumsy.

Buying havertz full stop is the problem tbh. He wanted him to play midfield, realised he wasn't good enough, and then switched him to striker. And now look, we need both a midfielder and a striker, because he's not quite good enough in either role.

I like Kai, but 65m on him, plus those wages was just ridiculous. We all said it at the time.

I don't think the recruitment is solely lies with Arteta, I think the kronke's wanted to balance the books this season and this is what annoys me about them, any other top team would make sure they get the reinforcements in to at least try to get over the line this season, it's the same thing every season!

Aye, but arteta was definitely behind the Kai signing.

Look, it's very difficult to get the attackers we need. Nico williams has fallen off a cliff this season. Pedro Neto has scored 1 league goal this season (obviously against us ). Isak was difficult to get, plus he has injury questions. Osimhens agent was a fecking clown.

It ain't easy. Kai was a (very expensive) stop gap. And he's done better than I thought. But we need more. Wenger won titles with bergkamp, Henry, kanu, wiltord, pires and Freddie.

Oh wait he did. But after FT ffs 😅
