I guess it all depends where Bayern are in January. I think Lewo is more wanted by the Bayern board than the actual manager. If Bayern are in a good position come in January, then Pep could justify the fact that Lewo would be a surplus and he is not needed.

I dont think that Dortmund is prepared to let him go in January. Dortmund in contrary to us stand by their claim to let him go in summer and not earlier. They dont need the money.

Pep is changing Bayern style to more like Barca. I am not sure Lewandoski fits that style. Pep never liked Ibra. I think he will have more power than people think in player selection because of the change of style.

I would think it depends on Dortmund's position in the CL. And they are likely to go out if we beat them. That Napoli result for them was disastrous.

Dont think so but they had contact and spoke with him and his agent about a summer move. I think it's still on and it depends on Guardiola.

Dortmund would be over joyed to get any money for him. Especially if they have nothing to play for so if Bayern don't fancy him I am sure they will sell in Jan.

Of course Bayern could sign him, stick him on the bench for a year and sell him for a good fee a season later. They would be doing Dortmund a favour by allowing them to sell him in Jan.

No they couldn't. The player refused to go anywhere but Bayern and wanted to see out his contract. At that point there is very little Dortmund could do but accept Bayern's low ball bid or keep for a year. And they decided to keep him for a year.

However if Bayern now say we don't want him, Dortmund are free to explore other options. I am sure we will have competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid who are also looking for strikers. But that would free up other options like Benzema, Torres etc.
