Doesn't help anyone but doesn't harm anyone.

The thing that annoyed me is how Everton players thought football was a sport where physical contact is acceptable when the ball isn't played, and the ref failed to act, leading to a procession of fouls that made the first half a terrible show of football. If Everton played football to win rather than trying to spoil games and be content with a draw maybe they would move up the table, as they have the quality to win games like last night.

Do you mean like Sagna falling to the floor clutching his head in absolute agony as though he'd received a kick to his head. When the replay was shown he barely got a tap to his ARM.

So many Arsenal players falling around with barely a touch it was really embarrassing.I noticed when Giroud cleaned out Coleman on the deadball line Coleman got up straight away.If it was Wiltshire I'm sure he'd still be rolling about in agony

So you don't think arsenal are to easily bullied in a game? You don't think you would benefit from a player who can stand up and be counted, only because there is contact doesn't mean there has been a foul

Everton started the game better, looked like you had a real chance to win. Then Fellaini got away with 3 fouls and all of a sudden Everton players thought "fúck actually playing, the ref is letting us get away with murder". After that you never looked a real threat. Arsenal players, sick of the refs leniency, by the second half exaggerated some fouls to give the ref a bit of help, as he was desperately out of his depth.

No, we had enough chances to win last night suggesting we were not bullied out of it.

Barkley skimmed the post. I reckon we get the best out of Arteta. He now looks average.

D`Jesus I must admit I only saw the first half because I had to go to work but from what I saw Everton played the better football and arsenal players and manager moaned at every tackle

Trying to influence the ref to get an opponent sent off.How low will your players sink to to win a game.

It was nothing short of a disgrace how your players behaved. No wonder opponents play on it sometimes, you were more interested in getting Everton players sent of rather than trying to win a game of football legitematley

Barkley hit a long range shot wide... not something I get worried about tbh alas.

Totally agree Phil, they appeared more concerned with moaning and complaining then trying to win. Which is a pity because I think we can all admit arsenal play some lovely stuff at times

The only thing that annoyed me about the match is how arsenals players think football is a non contact sport, if they could man up and add a bit of steel to there side then maybe the could possibly make a push for the league.
=====================
Maybe it is because in recent year we had players that had broken legs and others serious injuries.
The day you'll see one of your players's leg snapped in two pieces, you might re-think this all "sport contact" things!

You know that little Spaniard you signed from us, well him and Victor were assaulted in a game away to Newcastle a few years ago and both missed near enough a year's football. Doesn't mean you take contact out of football, you may as watch netball if you want a non contact sport

I was just getting fed up with the Everton players constantly leaving a foot in after the ball had already gone, now that is lacking sportsmanship.

posted on 17/4/13

Football is a limited contact sport. So things like shoulder barges and clean tackles are allowed. things like kicking players because you can. is just scúmmy.

Contact =
Constant fouling =
Ref failing to deal with it = Players exaggerating to make things obvious to the incompetent official.

Are Arsenal the only club in the history of the game to have a player break a leg?

Feigning injury to get an opponent booked or sent off is an act of a coward.Your manager sets the example to the whole team and Wenger is the biggest moaner in the game at present

posted on 17/4/13

The act of a coward is knowing you cant win something, so just trying to kick your way out of it.

So you mean you are happy to see legs get broken and career ruined because football is a contact sport?
Tackles can be made without be nasty but players need to learn how to make them proprely before throwing themselves on others players

posted on 17/4/13

So the ref didn't believe there were as many fouls as your players, manager & players wanted so you decided to ( for use of a better word) cheat to get what you wanted? But that's ok because the nasty boys in blue wouldn't let you do what you wanted

Referees are there to punish fouls. The way your players play act then it makes their job 10 times harder.Perhaps if your divas actually acted like men then they'd get the protection you crave from refs.

So should we blame Moyes for Fellaini elbowing others players (fact which is well known)!

4th place, don't be silly of course I don't want to see players get there legs broken and careers ended but football has been played for many years and its always been popular so I think the odd broken leg is unfortunately a career hazard

posted on 17/4/13

Tell us all what career threatening tackles that were made against your players in the game.I'll make it easier, tell us all of any tackles made by an Everton player that caused an injury.

Worse tackle of the night was Giroud on Coleman taking him out on the byline and Coleman didn't make an issue of it.

Lets not forget these are the same thugs who, after getting absolutely destroyed, resorted to trying to kick Wigan players out of the game in the recent FA Cup quarter final. The result was, of course, one of our youngsters, Ryo Miyaichi, suffering a season ending ankle injury after a late and poor challenge...

Everton went out with the intention of roughing us up a bit. As a team of mostly small players we responded to what we felt was lenient refereeing by throwing a few mini-strops. Both teams playing to their strengths, no biggie.
