Chronic, your quick to bash other people's opinions on strikers but never give your own strikers as potential signings. According to you mate, every player people mention is considered unrealistic. Why the hell would benteke cost 25million? I think a bid of about 16 to 17 mil should be more than enough. I could swear you was saying you didn't want benteke a few months back? Also I think you are completely wrong about michu. He is a quality player who would fit the line striker role perfectly with another striker or bale just behind.

you think we will get benteke for 17mill? i reckon you are being very very optimistic with that. infact probably more naive than optimistic. there was even a villa fan in the other thread reckoning that he would cost 25 mill at least. cant say i disagree.

even still that is our record signing.

furthermore, i like benteke, hes really good.. but look how great cisse looked last season.. you need to judge a player over time to see his true class.

with your michu comments.. you said with another striker and bale just behind. well we dont play like that. we play one up top and one behind.

next season i suspect we will play a pure 4-3-3. so no space for michu in there either. plus i think michu would cost around 20 mill too....

earlier season (when he was scoring most of his goals) he played behind danny graham

now he plays more as the point man his goal return has dried up considerably

that may be in part to the league getting used to him, which is my point.. next season i bet he doesnt get more than 10 goals... he will have a similar struggle to cisse as the league are wary about him and teams make special plans to deal with him

I would break our transfer record for Hernandez and I mean that. A superb goal scorer and a complete predator in the box. He would score 20 plus every season if he played enough.

The majority of the time he has been in the number 9 role. That's why Graham left, he had little game time.

I reckon he's different to Cisse. Michu's goals come from classy finishes and headers. Cisse scored wonder goals which had to dry up eventually.

Some players like Holt, now lambert you get the feeling are one season wonders. Michu doesn't look like this at me. He has composure, workrate, movement etc. I reckon he will do very well again next year

Tbf Chronic, you are quick to dismiss other peoples opinions when it comes to strikers, but offer no good alternative.

don we dont create chances. are you telling me we dont need to add creativity to the side?

you could have pele in his prime up top but whats the facking point if you cant create a chance for him.

striker and creative mids/wingers are needed with equal priority
