Rogers versus AVB

by RedknappsCoat

Who has had the better time of it in their first season in charge?

Is this article some kind of a joke, AVB by a country mile.

Impeccable reasoning in my opinion. LAL

But Liverpool fans have been saying, "they have done about the same."

One of them will be here soon to say, "what have you won!".

The same number of trophies as you lot over the last 8 years actually

no really what did he spend in the summer? Am I right in saying you signed no one in the Jan window?

Anyway AVB has done better overall with Europa campagin and league position, good first season in charge and you can see his blueprint on the way Spurs now play. He started with a better squad of players then Rodgers but he's done well and seems to have engrained a good team spirit into the squad.

Rodgers has done well in parts for us, he needs to improve in certain areas but overall we are a better side then this time last year, our squad is stronger and on our day we can destroy some teams and we can match the better sides too. Still plenty to improve upon but he's had a decent first season after the poor start results wise.

Spurs have one of the world`s best young managers, Liverpool have a manager who would be better of in the valleys as a sheep farmer.

I've watched Liverpool a lot this season and they play the most fluent passing game in the league and create tons of chances but some avoidable errors in defence and pathetic finishing have often cost them. They could cause quite a stir next season. I'm liking the look of Coutinho and Sturridge. Other than the North London sides, Liverpool have dominated all the other top sides in the league this season and there's plenty of positives to build on. A bit like Arsenal's 07/08 side that really could have won the league when no one gave them a chance to even compete for it.

Is this a wind up?

Rodger's philosophy of playing total football has clearly failed at Liverpool.

He is a panhead and one of the most overrated managers in my lifetime.

Actually - is he even rated?

Sheriff

How has it failed, hes had 1 season, shall we sack him?

Everyone says managers should get a chance, but then people brand them failures straight away

It's funny that the same way all these blinkered Spurs fans are deriding Rodgers is the same way most of them were vilifying AVB in his time at Chelsea. Many of the wanted him out after Spurs first few games and booed the team. Fans, eh?

No-one is deriding Rogers.

People are looking at nailed down facts. King Brenny spent a lot more money than Spurs and finished 11 points behind them, and didn't do as well in Europe.

Can we just end this article now, it`s getting embarassing, Liverpool have barely scrapped above Swansea and WBA, when their target was top four minimum, I thought that is why they have spent close to £150 million last couple of seasons.
