prison break........

i'll get pelters...but never got into the wire....wld be willing to give it another go.....

Junction you rreally should give the Wire another go, it's pure quality, my favourite TV show ever, it's such a grand narrative, brings so much of America's urban issues to the front.

Agree with you on Prison break, the lead fella is an awful actor.

Mr Bean was quality.

Only American shows I really like are Monk, the first two series of Heroes, Starsky and Hutch, Flight of the Conchords (although that's just as much New Zealand). Can't think of any others.

A bit controversial but 'Breaking Bad'.

Not a bad show, i binged on the first three seasons a few weekends ago and it was just ok.

Flight of the Conchords

great show

It's always sunny in Philadelphia is the funniest American sitcom IMO, if you've not seen it give it a go, pure quality particularly when Danny De Vito comes into it.

am i the only one who hates the studio audience?

Well for every 99 people that like the show you'll have one that doesn't, TRC...

Revenge is pretty over rated. As is Californication, awful.

Just look at her on the internet and then you don't have to watch the garbage tv show

Friends, The Simpsons and Boardwalk Empire.

Oh, right, yeah, the FlashFoward box set.

It's meant to be amazing. Shall we do it this week?

Uh, sure, it's just... we watched all the Losts and they were somewhat OK, and Heroes had some interesting themes, but also quite a lot of not-so-interesting themes, and Prison Break... by the end I very much felt I wanted to break out of the prison that Prison Break had become for us.

For your own sake, keep going. Personally I thought the first 3 seasons were great, but 4 was probably the best series of any TV show I've ever seen and 5 was top notch too.

Does Simpsons count as American? Yeah, I guess it does. That's a genre unto itself. Family Guy and American Dad! are good too.

Game of Thrones I find boring. Could not find a more over-hyped show.

Another one is 'House of Cards', now i like my US political drama (The West Wing was brilliant) and even the cloying ''Scandal'' has moments of promise but House of Cards, with Spacey at the lead, i expected to be blown away.

I binge-watched the entire first season on Netflix over the past weekend and i was very underwhelmed.

40 degree
If you think Game of Thrones is another good triumphs over evil story, then you clearly haven't watched the show.

Bennyville, I found GoT boring too. But then I decided to find out more about the characters and their history. Once you know the background details, it's so addicting.

Boardwalk Empire

The characters of Chalky White and Arnold Rothstein are captivating.

That's what I'm looking for in a TV show, homework.

House of Cards is decent, but yh I too expected better. Still, Spacey and his character wife do steal the show.

Lost for me is the most overrated Tv Show. The first few series were ok, but the rest is just trash. Revenge is another crap US drama. Having saying that the US have done some great dramas like Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks and House.

From the UK I thought Doctor Who is a bit naff. The writing is pretty awful, the story lines really boring and just how repetitive the show is.

Friends was ok, but nothing great. I agree only Chandler and Joey were funny, the rest were a bit lame. How I met Your Mother was embarrassingly bad to begin with. It got better by like 3rd or 4th series. But its been pretty poor ever since. I also agree its only Barney who is mildly funny to watch, the others are so bland.
