well robin hoody, we are closing in on Soldado and have made some excellent signigns this window. We probably won't need to rely on Bale half as much because we would finally have a top quality striker. Spurs will be very strong this season no doubt about it.
You could have 67 CM's. I still think it lacks flair and you don't keep many clean sheets.
You need to keep Bale and you'll need for him to have a similar season IMO. Hit a lot of match winners.
I don't think Spurs' midfield needs flair. They have flair on the wings, with Bale who drifts centrally also. They have enough in terms of creating and scoring, it's just a striker they need to sort. However I agree the defence is poor.
Maybe but none of their midfielders have 10 goals a season in them that I can see. Neither has Lennon. You could say Siggurdson or Dempsey but neither have set the world alight.
I really like Dembele and Sandro, not seen enough of Paulinho, but it does require Bale to have a similar impact regardless of whether they sign Soldado.
IMO Tottenham will do better next year, bale and Lennon on the wings should devastate most opposition, paulinho is a good player as well as sandro, dembele and vertonghen. Lloris is, IMO, on of the best in the prem
Mignolet
Johnson
Toure
Agger
Any of them, all fairly weak.
Arteta
Lucas
Walcott
Cazorla
Podolski
Suarez
I think that's a fair team.
Arsenal's strength is undoubtedly in midfield/attacking midfield. While collectively they had a decent defensive record last season, individually I can't pick any of their defenders other than possibly the weak left back position (though Gibbs is not for for long enough to see if he is actually any good).
Cazorla and Podolski edge Gerrard and Coutinho as they are at peak age. Arteta and Lucas gives a nice mix of steel and passing.
Mig is clearly better than any Arsenal keeper. I think the combined squad still wouldn't challenge for the title though. Not enough cover in defensive midfield and question marks over the defence would see to that.
Got to laugh when I see Toure over Koscielny. Weak at left back? If you don't watch us play there's no point doing one of these.
I'm sure Mignolet wasn't rated this highly a few weeks ago?
This team is designed to play like Arsenal, so naturally it will be slightly biased.
Ches/Mign
Sagna/Johnson Kos Agger Monreal
Cazorla Arteta Rosicky
Walcott Suarez Coutinho
Subs: GK, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Gerrard, Podolski, Wilshere, Sturridge
There is just no way that Chesney would get in ahead of Mingolet, Chesney is in the 5 worst keepers in the PL he is rubbish
Yes, i'm sure...

Note how many fewer minutes he played.
Supporters including those of Arsenal and Liverpool have always got rose tinted opinions about their team.
The league next season at the top will be a lot closer
than many assume. Yes Man City have bought a lot
of new players and may continue to do so, but that
does not mean that they are better than at other
clubs or will adapt.
Personally I believe that Chelsea may finish above them. They have a successful manager and a team/
squad which was refreshed last season and is now
bedded in.
Manchester United may struggle. I believe still that the
X factor which won them the League was Ferguson.
Personally I don't think their squad is special and Van
Persie after two very good years at 30 may not be
the player he was, because of his history of injuries.
Arsenal are better than most Liverpool supporters give
them credit for. Modern Football is a squad game and
it is not just about 1st X1. You need to look at bench
as well and we do have quite a lot of depth. The squad is perhaps short of two top starting X1 players
and a couple of squad players.
I am not going to comment on Liverpool, because I
have not seen enough of them play, but they finished
the season 12 points [four victories] behind us and
Arsenal's end of season was as strong as any team in
League.
Leaving aside Suarez I am pretty sure that Arsenal will be buying players in this transfer window so that
you need to judge the merits of both clubs not on paper but how they perform on pitch.
Szeszney was dropped a few times last season and was slated by your own fans wasn't he? Koscielny makes too many mistakes for me, like Skrtel. Glad somebody put in Monreal over Gibbs but can't believe you've got both Gerrard and Wilshere on the bench.
epic thread, arsenal 19th liverpool 5th.
Mignolet
