why do napoli love balo

posted on 21/5/14

What's not to love? Even United fans loved him when he was at City.

I agree, in principle. But I don't think their egos would allow it and why I'd be very surprised if Balo would even consider Napoli.

And whether Milan would consider selling their star player to a team they're looking to usurp.

He plays pretty much every game he's fit at Milan.

Yeah that's true. Napoli look in good stead for the future, especially if they can continue to maintain their CL status. I suppose the worry will always be that Milan and Inter will sort their act out.

Having read the entire discussion that took place here last night, I have just one thing to add:

A middle-class hipster, if you don't mind.

Anyone here read Nick Hornby's "How To Be Good"? That's me.

Wump, btw, you asked about books about La Liga. I'm yet to read Sid Lowe's "fear & Loathing..."; I keep telloing myself I have to get hold of it but haven't go round to it yet.

The one I have read is Phil Ball's much-acclaimed "Morbo", but I have to say I found it quite disappointing. It contains a lot of interesting snippets about the history of Spanish football and talks about a variety of clubs instead of just the big 2, but I found it does little to move away from the typical stereotypes and rather reinforces them to an extent. Sid's I'm sure will be better.

Hey
I'll check out both of them. Unfortunately it will have to be in ebook format because there is no chance of me getting them in a bookshop in Nairobi I don't like ebooks! I am too old fashioned.

Same here, but e-books are a good option for practical purposes.

BTW how adept is Ozil playing as a wide attacking midfielder? I am sure I remember him being played on the right for Madrid in some games but I can't really remember how he performed there.

Unconvincing.

Inconsistent.

Hmmm in the games I have seen him play and he has drifted out wide, I have seen him beat defenders with great skill and put in great balls into the box. He is also quite fast. I was asking because I wanted to know how we could fit in Traitorgas, him and Ramsey in the same team.

Daily mail reckons Lennon will be off by next week Henke. Biggest mistake he'll make, can't imagine him making much of an impact down south.
