Wenger talking nonsense just coated in fancy words.

"But you have players like that where you know for the next five or six years you have real quality. That kind of pride and patience is not rated anymore. It has just disappeared."

So let me get this straight, we should be patient with players for fix, six years yet players will leave ater two seasons ?

Get real man

Wenger needs a director of football, or someone who can make decisions for him, he's too old fashioned in his approach

He moans about the market, the players valuation, but there's nothing he can do about it, no wonder RVP went for just £25million pounds to United, what a joke sale that was, you gave the title to United and thus you struggled to secure 4th place

The market is what it is, it's never going to go backwards, ever! so just stump up the players worth or fack off

He goes on about how players of different clubs aren't as good as the ones he's got, but year on year his club continues to finish a little bit lower, once he was competing for 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd, and now 4th. By the looks of it, Spurs will be taking 4th place this year behind Chelsea, city and united. Arsenal? 5th.

If these comments are really wengers, then arsenal are finish in terms of competing for trophies with him around

I await Godfather's response: "You're deluded and you're not a real fan if you believe any of this".

Watching SSN the other day he said "I get offered 50 players a day, check my phone"

Then he makes joke offers for Suarez for £40million and a £1! in what world do Arsenal think that bid would be accepted?

It's like going to buy a house and offering the owner £1 extra, he's gonna laugh in your face!

Then the token £10million on Cabaye, he cost Newcastle £10million, what world does he think he's living in?

The market is what it is, blame clubs like City and Chelsea for paying over the odds

===

The point of that bid was to to trigger a release clause, not for it to be accepted.

It was a huge gamble, which everybody would have lauded if it had been pulled off.

But it didn't pull off, and we have become a bit of a laughing stock.

To be fair it was a laughable bid, it was a joke bid and Wenger or whoever made it should be fined for it!

I'm not on a mindless wum, I'm not into this whole Arsenal vs Spurs wum, it's the reality of football and Wenger is losing it, he seriously needs help on the football and financial side because eventually it will affect your team

That's actually pretty shocking, what the fack is wrong with our manager?

I still kinda love the man but some of the stuff he's come out with lately does not indicate he has Arsenal's best interests at heart.

What a surprise to see the OP jump at the chance to post this article. Do you have to take any article or quotes from Wenger and read into them as gospel? Shock horror! A manager wants to develop a team and believes in the players he has at his disposal! If it wasn't for the greed of agents and the unwarranted bullying of the media towards Arsenal, the fact we haven't won a trophy for 8 years wouldn't be that big a deal. Players would not have had their heads turned and we would have a title challenging squad. Yes he chooses who he wants to add but he doesn't do the negotiating. Anyway this is so king boring now, why can't you just support your king team before a crucial game rather then stir up all this negative bullpoo. Vent as much as you want tomorrow morning but today the team will need all the support it can get. COYG

Only because it didn't work. If it had worked, Arsene would be getting hero-worshipped.

Obviously the club were badly advised.

I'm not defending the bid here. I'd have offered something like 40.5M if it were me, just in case there was no clause. I'm just saying it has to be looked at both ways.

Wenger spot on, there's no balance anymore. Fans are just desperate for new signings for that sake of spending money, Spurs bought Paulinho and Capoue and we have Ramsey who is better than both. Half the players our fans cry about missing out on will probably flop. We have a very good underrated squad and just need the right additions.

Santi

Exactly, it would have made perfect sense, and now you're in the CL why don't you go back in with another bid?

Wenger is winding the fans up with token bids just to make it look like he's after players, and then just does not follow them up, why hasn't Cabaye been chased?

Makes no sense!

I'm saying maybe he has the right idea, but then developing the talent is only going to work if you can keep them when they're good. Players don't seem to have faith in Arsene's project anymore.

posted on 1/9/13

But everything he says here is true?? In an ideal world you would want to develop from within rather than buy. Look at barca, mostly home grown and they have dominated Spanish and European football for a while. Look at our best players, most of them have been developed from a young age. Van persie, Fabregas cole etc are some of the best players in the world, Van persie is best in England. Obviously losing them was not part of the plan and that is the only problem at the club.

We are in a situation were numbers are so short we need to buy to bolster out depth and male up for shortfall of quality in some areas. Everyone knows this, Wenger has admitted it countless times. It's not ideal but it's a necessity.

Nice try but articles like these are becoming pointless and will look ridiculous come tomorrow evening when players have been bought.

Spurs bought Paulinho and Capoue and we have Ramsey who is better than both.

After 3 games you have come up with that conclusion?

Hard to tell if another player is better than the other based on 2 PL games, games like today and against City, Chelsea and United will tell you how good a player is

Not against pub teams in Europe and Palace and Swansea

Ramsey used to get booed now he's your focal point?

Fans are fickle

Wenger has lost it. Cant wait for him to go

It's soo sad to see what Wenger has become.

When he first came into the PL he revolutionised football in this country. Fitness, passing, influx of foreign talant, all this was introduced by Wenger and he played an integral part of making the EPL the apex of world football.

Now he seems stubborn to change his ways has not evolved with the game and has become abit of a dinosaur. For the funds he has spent its a miracle he has kept Arsenal in the CL but his unwillingness to invest has now caught up with him.

Arsenal have one of the best stadiums in the world but your team is second rate, dropping out of the CL this year will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

you have to respect Wenger in what he tries to achieve but unfortunately it's out dated now and that's a real shame. It's all about the money now, how football has changed.

what wenger should do, is refuse to be so stubborn to change and try and build a team taking the best of both worlds if that's possible. there is no way can can win the premier league now unless you have at least 3-4 world class type international players.
