All of this is just justification for messing up the transfer market. If Wenger doesn't buy and once again fails to win anything he will be out. Simple as that.
What was the point of moving to a new stadium if not to compete in the transfer market with the big boys?

I've not come here to wum, just to put my feelings across, Wenger was a great manager once and I used to envy his success, now he's living in the past when players we're worth 50% of what they're worth now
I'm not saying he should leave, but like AVB he needs a DOF, like it or not, he needs help to bring in the right players
"He wants to do everything himself"
"I’m not against having people to help me buy and sell. I cannot do it all. I am not Superman"
, can you read?
---
You do realise those statements don't contradict each other. Love when somebody tries to be a smart árse and ends up embarrassing themselves
I've nothing against Wenger's principals, it's just not how most successful clubs operate though. And the ones that do succeed with their youth players generally have owners that don't sell them on a regular basis.
Arsenal do, with Arsene often the person to allow it to happen.
Wenger might aswell give up being a manger and become a CEO of some PLC somewhere.
He isn't WUMming Thatman. Just because his debate is stronger than yours does not mean you should name call. Grow up please.
Touch a nerve? Why delete ny comment? Don't like the truth or being called a prematurely smug spurs fan?

"I could not work with a director of football."
Sounds like he's got to go, either that or he's tapped up a couple of RM players and it'll be WENGER IN come Tuesday.
No Dog, they don't. Can't and want mean 2 different things.
Fail, again
But surely his idea of his youth project is to finally reap the benefits of creating world class players (RVP, Cesc), surely when years of hard work leaves the club, you have to recoup that money into buying a class replacement, otherwise the project falls flat on its ar.se.
OP I suggest you read my comments about the allayed release clause which Thudd seems incapable of comprehending.

Even if he signs Suarez, Di Maria, Ozil and Casillas he should go.
I'm not smug mate, far from it, I'm the most pessimistic Spurs fan you'll ever meet, I just have a realistic view of the transfer market

Exactly.
Far too much muddled thinking going on at our club at the moment. They all just end up contradicting themselves as they try to justify their failures.
Apparently we are signing the Palermo keeper who got relegated last season. He's had a medical with us according to Sky Italia. Guess that rules out Casillas

This goes deeper than transfer policy? I know it's been a long time without a trophy but your form at the end of last season was ridiculous
if these quotes are true, this confirms what I have accused wenger of doing, putting careers of young players and his own ego ahead of the priorities of arsenal.
Taylor later told the Press Association the contract does NOT oblige Liverpool to sell Suarez:
"If you are going to have a supposed buy-out clause it should be that, but it is different as it says if there is no qualification for the Champions League [by Liverpool] and if there is a minimum offer of £40million then the parties will get around the table to discuss things but it does not say the club has to sell.
"It quite clearly states £40million is a minimum offer for discussions, but it becomes really difficult with such clauses.
"There is a 'good faith' clause in relation to serious discussions but I can't say it is cast-iron buy-out clause"
Thatman I think you're confused mate, you actually think that like on Ebay once you bid the "buy it now" amount you get your player
Far from it, all Arsenal did was release a clause which meant LFC discussed the option with the player, in no world does this mean the player has to leave and sign for another club?
What club would sanction that type of contract? how do they know how much that players valuation goes up based on performances and development
Viviano was on loan at Fiorentina last season. Have to admit my heart sunk 'til I found that out.
Still, no idea whether he's any good or not though.
Sure I would have a better idea if he were top, top, top quality though...

This does not fill your with confidence.
The good news is that it's a loan deal so we still haven't spent anything
“My ideal squad would consist of 17 to 18 players and they would be young players.
