You have more pressing problems than getting a mid to play alongside carrick (Fellaini). Your wingers are crap and kagawa has vanished from the the planet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.
However we haven't gone 8 years without a trophy, have we? And we've just replaced our manager for the first time in over 1/4 of a century.
A trophyless season is very much a distinct possibility for us this year. Everyone at the club knows it and so do the fans. We might surprise a few but we're third favs for a reason.
Also......Nani is not a crap winger and Kagawa is not a lost cause just yet.
I know they aren't crap, I'm just showing you how ridiculous your points seem.
Red Cog
Coming from the guy who believes Ando is a top player.....I think it's safe to say your opinion means less than nothing to me anyway.
Fergie clearly lost patience and Moyes has tried his best to sign just about every midfielder going this summer. And furthermore Tom Cleverely is still ahead of him in the pecking order.
I like Ozil and think he's a great signing for Arsenal. I never once said he wasn't. Just don't think him alone will make all that much difference in grand scheme of things.
I guess all we can do is wait til May and see if you were right.
The truth is, I just don't think anyone is scared of United anymore.
With Fergie at the helm, they could beat anyone. Some of the teams they have beaten us home and away with is ridiculous. Rafael in midfield anyone?
With Moyes, I just don't think he has it. I'm sure a squad containing Fellaini, Roon, RVP, De Gea and Vidic will be up there, but could they potentially be battling for top 4 at the end of the season? In my eyes, yes.
I know they aren't crap, I'm just showing you how ridiculous your points seem.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
You just said they were.
You weren't that far off with Young and Valencia in fairness. Certainly Young anyway.
I guess we'll see come May time won't we? But when 8 years becomes 9....there will be something to blame it on. Im betting it will be the keeper/defence or perhaps both.
could they potentially be battling for top 4 at the end of the season? In my eyes, yes.
---
This is likely because you're an Arsenal fan, and whilst you think you're looking at it objectively, you clearly aren't.
It would take a catastrophic failure for that to happen...
I was wumming when I said they're crap, they obviously do something right if you win the league, your points about our defence and creativity just seem like a wum attempt to me.

Ha Ha, Lies and more lies.
I have campaigned for Anderson to be sold since 2011 - i even wrote an article on it under United midfield dilemma - Rooney, Anderson and Giggs are the players i have wanted gone from United for a while now.
But hey ho, keep peddling your BS.
Funny guy.
You don't always need a 50 inch TV. But when its available easily you definitely go for it.
You think come May time we will be battling it out for 4th place?
I think people are going way way way over board saying we're going to drop from 1st to fighting for 4th overnight even though we've kept all our best players from last summer and finally added a good PL proven midfielder.
The truth is we got handed a ridiculously hard opening set of fixtures and we still only lost 1 of those game by a narrow margin.
Can't see this United side (barring any awful injuries) finishing any lower than third even with Moyes.
Wayne and Robin great example

Not when it's going to cost you 40m, and you already have 3 47" tvs....
This is likely because you're an Arsenal fan, and whilst you think you're looking at it objectively, you clearly aren't.
==========================================
Not sure Jay, I know what you mean about thinking you are looking at things objectively, when you aren't, but it just feels like you might struggle this season.
I didn't think this at the start of the season, I thought Moyes would steady the ship and definitely be up there challenging for 1st. I actually thought he'd win it, mainly because of the overhaul at City.
But after watching the Chelsea and Liverpool games, you just don't look like champions.
Of course then again, neither do City or Chelsea at the moment, certainly not Arsenal and Spurs
All I can say is that its going to be one hell of a season.
But after watching the Chelsea and Liverpool games, you just don't look like champions.
---
In all honesty, I didn't get to watch either game, nor hte highlights...
However, we were always going to struggle against a Chelsea side playing with 6 midfielders, and Anfield is somewhere that we are very likely to drop points, most seasons.
I agree Va Va Voom.
Ozil is like a plasma/led tv to the cathode ray tvs of the 90's which arsenal have
A lot of things said between fans of rival clubs are said seemingly subconsciously by hope, more than expectation..
For example, a lot is being made about Ozil potentially not being able to hack it in the PL, there is no basis for this, but rivals hope he doesn't make the impact that Arsenal fans want him to.
If that makes sense.
However, we were always going to struggle against a Chelsea side playing with 6 midfielders, and Anfield is somewhere that we are very likely to drop points, most seasons.
==========================================
In particular Anfield, it wasn't so much the result. ANY team can go there and lose.
It was the performance. Looked like a lack of belief, lack of cohesion, lack of understanding about each other. Can't remember ever seeing United like that.
It's really easy and incredibly naive to look at the table now and say United are going to struggle this season.
Just look at who we have played.
Swansea away - who else will score 4 goals and win there so comfortably this season? Not many if any.
Chelsea home - Jose parked the bus. A point at home is hardly a disgrace anyway.
Liverpool away - We were awful for most of the game it has to be said and still only lost 1-0 to a set piece goal. I can see 1 or 2 of the potential title challengers struggling there this season as well though as Liverpool are much improved.
By Christmas I suspect the table will look a lot lot lot better for us United fans. The fixture list is of course random but it really was unlucky for Moyes to get so many top 6 teams so soon into his new job.
Ozil is like a plasma/led tv to the cathode ray tvs of the 90's which arsenal have

I thought you were implying you weren't happy with United bidding for him, hence my response to your analogy
He is better than anything Arsenal have, significantly, but that is a lot of money & I think they needed a striker and would have been better served increasing the bid for Suarez.

I don't know Jay. I don't really think like that.
For all the talk of United's downfall, I didn't buy a word of it until the past few weeks, and the strange approach to the transfer window.

Oops, fixed it ^^

No one is denying our window was terrible, but we've strengthened a side that took the league by a massive amount of points, yes, others have strengthened too, but I just can't see an almost 20 point swing in it...
I have stopped caring about the transfers now. We signed a player now lets support him.
