Ozil's not Messi. Just laughing at the generally held belief.
But he is the second best playmaker in the world. That doesn't count for nothing I guess.
I don't think Ozil is the best player in the Prem, (difficult to say who), but it's plain stupid to say he's not in the top 5.
"When he outscores and our performs Mata I will agree"
Mata's not even the most talented at Chelsea. Best player, but not the most talented there.
20 goals and 21 assists say otherwise
So if it's ok to say Ozil's among the best in the Prem, what's so outrageous about saying he is the best?
Ozil could be the premier league's best player. He wont get muscled off the ball or anything like that or find it hard to acclimatise or any rubbish like that. The only thing I'd say is, are the rest of the players around him on his level? His ridiculously good stats from Spain were no doubt helped by who he was playing with and the fact that it was with Madrid. Maybe he wont continue assisting at a similar rate but he will make a positive impact and lay on chances for Arsenal's front line. Its whether they can finish them consistently..
It's not because he has to prove himself in the premier league to be rated as a player. Nobody is questioning his ability.
But he has to prove himself for Arsenal in the premier league.
Silva is arguably as talented as Ozil but hasn't proven it over a sustained period of time.
Talent alone isn't always the defining factor in what makes a player.
What about something like mentality? Mata was better than Ozil last season and has a better mentality for the bigger games and moments than Ozil does despite not being as talented.
For that reason you can make a case for him being a better player.
Was that another fence sitting post? It's comfy on here tbh.
love it when Dubbed posts an article about a player's lack of talent, technique.
I'm gonna read through all the comments now, I'm sure it'll be worth it
I think Sturridge is a good striker btw.
Anyone who judges strikers solely based on goals knows absolutely nothing about the game.
Darren Bent would easily score 20 goals a season with any PL team given the chance, he has been doing so far a while, but he's almost as bad as Hernandez when it comes to overall ability.
Some players just know.
Like Dubbed says, you gotta look at what a player brings to the team and his overall ability to change games. Any headless chicken could just have good movement and score plenty of goals in a season, you can train a baboon to do it. We've seen players like Zaki, Benjani, Ba, Dempsey etc do it and people have called for them to be signed (the bigger club's fans)...these people are hype merchants who just look at what a player does on MOTD highlights etc.
That said though, I don't agree with Dubbed about Sturridge, he's certainly a good player. Definitely England's best striker after Rooney
omg these comments are brilliant the way everyone just attacks Dubbed is wonderful
Welbeck is truly shocking. He's improved a bit though, I'd say he's on par with somebody likeBobby Zamora now.
Dubbed put down into submission like he did on Kamran's thread. Give it up pal
