I think neither of us know the real story so at this stage it's better to leave it. You have your opinion, I have mine but it's done now.

Fergie is bitter than Rooney had balls to staff up to him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That doesn't make sense.

Never cared about whether he asked to leave or not. What I did care about was the way he looked after himself off the field and his performances on the pitch which last season at times were both nothing short of a disgrace.

This season he looks to be in fantastic condition and has so far put in some fantastic performances like tonight and against Leverkusen where he linked midfield to attack with great effect.

Plenty more of this please Wayne.

I may even one day sing your name again.

Calm down! I wasn't attacking you. I was just saying we should both move on!

Rooney 'thanked' Ferguson for 'correcting' what he said about Rooney leaving so it's pretty obvious he wanted to leave in the Summer.

No i wont accept it

How about I tell you to accept it that rooney did initally want out until united said no. how about you accept that?

Your reasoning is some random rubbish like he wrote on twitter how upset he was at getting injured and this somehow proves he wanted to stay at utd all along.

we've seen what's happened. put the pieces together man!

fergie said he didnt hand in a transfer request. so did rooney. but fergie confirmed he wanted out. he didnt put it in writing though! so he didnt lose any money! fergie said his agent also confirmed he wanted out because stretford phoned up gill.

lets piece together all this

rooney wanted out but didnt put it in writing
mourinho said someone told him rooney wanted out hence why the bids were made

why would jose lie? why didnt anyone come out to refute what he said about someone close to rooney telling chelsea he wants out? No one has refuted what jose said.

united said no to the bids we made, rooney accepted this fate and decided to stay, whether its for the long term or short term ,we dont know

I know roo originally wanted out

All I ever said is fergie exaggerated it which he did

I have argued the possibility that he changed his mind when moyes came in, which is when Chelsea showed interest

You got this wrong on so many levels and I reckon I was pretty much bang on

I took enough abuse for sticking up for him and I'm not gonna change my stance now

Fergie managed him badly at the end and he should have been toast like every other player that questions fergie

Roo survived it and I for one am glad about it because he's top draw

Roo isn't the problem at United up front. RVP is

One or two say kagawa and roo work well together
And I agree

RVP will be back in though and it won't be realised

Maybe you're just gutted he chose to stay at United and Jose made a prat of himself

Oh mrc

If you think roo made decisions based on loyalty bonuses then you're an idiot

The guy earns a mill every six weeks. Try harder bud because your failing badly with your bs atm

Whether you believe Sir Alex or not, he said yesterday on SSN that Rooney didn't want to lose his loyalty bonus.

i got no hard feelings about rooney coming to chelsea or not, that's not why im banging this drum.

im banging this drum because ive watched you post the same rubbish all summer long and pick on every poster who dared say rooney wanted to leave.

you came out with stuff like rooney wrote on twitter about his injury, moyes said he was training good, irrelevant stuff like that to back your argument up.
you dont look at things logically, you like to think you do but you dont. you like to make out you're sitting on the fence about this but you're not.

you're not piecing the key events together properly old man! i worry for you and this obsession for backing rooney up every which way.

look at the silence from rooney's camp all summer long

why would jose make a bid for a player who you say had no intention of leaving? jose is a sneaky little so and so but he;s not stupid! if he knows there is no chance of a player like rooney leaving, why would we make a bid. chelsea knew rooney was unhappy and wanted out and mourinho informed sky sports that someone close to him told him he wanted to go.

Fergie backed this up yesterday saying stretford repeated the rooney "want away" request when he spoke to david gill

and you just called me an idiot for saying about the money rooney would have lost if he handed a transfer request, fergie said exactly the same thing so hes an idiot too in your eyes

it doesnt matter how much he earns, a few million is a few million, ffs you're ridiculous

_______

This is wayne rooney we're talking about old man! think for god's sake. Think!

Who is rooney's agent?

Sir Alex said he wasn't happy playing out of position but he made him because he wasnt playing well. Like that makes sense

He also said the press made too much of him wanting to leave. More bullchit. He was the one that caused it

He also said he left the situation to moyes. Errrrr no, he did not. He put the situation front and centre

He and roo fell out and both acted wrong yet roo copped for the worst of it just because he wanted away from fergie.

When fergie went, roo got his head down and he has now confirmed how much he lives working with moyes

He made it perfectly clear the new coaching setup has given him a new lease of life

All summer people have moaned about him saying nothing. Now it's clear that he is happy because fergie went after tonight, people still wanna believe all the bollox in the papers

Unbelievable

You got it wrong

Keep writing your paragraphs if u like but you still got it wrong

Oh

For the millionth time

I never said roo didn't want out. I argued that him wanting to move to Chelsea was press guesswork

If you have any proof to the contrary apart from hearsay and nonsense, I'll read it in the moring

posted on 24/10/13

macca.

maybe you should cut down on your boring long dissertation length posts as well then if you dont want to read others replies.

You got it wrong aswell by the way

You're not a member of rooney's family unless there's something you're not telling us. you know as much as the rest of us.

im gna stick with my version of events if thats ok with you gramps.

il simplify my version for you if you have trouble reading paragraphs at your age.

rooney told fergie he wanted to go verbally
his agent told gill the same verbally.
fergie confirmed this week he didnt put it in writing because of the loss of a signing on fee
rooney confirmed to geoff shreeves tonight he didnt hand in a transfer request
chelsea were informed that hes open for a move sometime in the summer
chelsea bid for rooney twice
bid rejected twice
utd said no
rooney ended up staying at utd
rooney has said several times hes happy now. when asked to commit his future, he hasnt.

simple.

do you want me to draw diagrams for you if you're having trouble reading this?

you would also do well to watch this.

fergie's interview stateside

scroll to 44 mins

fergie's words

"when the club did really well in refusing to sell him to chelsea, HE REALISED, his only job was manchester united"

so the chelsea stuff was not press nonsense. there was interest from both sides and united just simply said no. Fergie words, not mine.

posted on 24/10/13

Im a bit confused though as didnt Rooney say in the interview after the game last night that he was glad that Ferguson retracted the statement of him wanting to leave??? but yesterday Ferguson did exactly the opposite of that.....????

posted on 24/10/13

I'll explain scouse-heart before macca finishes off his porridge and gives you a garbled explanation.

Fergie confirmed a few days ago Rooney didnt hand a WRITTEN request in but told him verbally he wanted out of United. He said he didnt hand in a written request because players lose their signing on fee if its a formal transfer request. Rooney said last night thanks to Fergie for confirming he didnt hand in a written transfer request. Macca seems to think money doesnt matter to the Rooneys. Fack me.

"He didn't put an official one in, just told Sir alex he wanted to leave verbally. So he wouldn't lose his loyalty payments."

I thought we knew this all a long?

posted on 24/10/13

So now it is down to the semantics of how the transfer request was issued??

thats a bit silly isnt it from Rooney?? you either did ask to leave or not, its kind of missing the point to focus on HOW you he asked to leave...

posted on 24/10/13

he didnt put it in writing though! so he didnt lose any money!

--------------

Although this might be true, I find it hard to believe.

Surely, a Nike athlete (Rooney), would lose more money leaving United (who are sponsored by Nike) than he would if he handed in a transfer request.

posted on 24/10/13

Maestro, wouldn't he lose more? He'd be doing both
