Think you posted this on the wrong board.......

Treedom, today's game can't be used as a barometer of our season after the sending off, so anyone moaning about the team or the manager isn't being realistic. OK, we've dropped very valuable points but as you say, 6th after only picking up 1 point out of 9 is not to be sniffed at.

I think I'm replying to something I read elsewhere! (Probably twitter).

I take it you're being sarcastic

If not, have a bit of patience!

Correct today's game can't be used as a barometer, but the last 3 can, Bournmuff, Yeovil and Blackpoo.
1 point.
We should have been better, but we have had suspensions, sendings off, etc.
Why is everyone happy with Davies?

well i would have barrated this post a few weeks ago but you know what billy is in charge of bringing players in and he's just not bringing in the right players in. we shouldn't have spent 2.5m on wilson. we shouldn't be getting any more centre mids in. we shouldn't be bidding that much for grant leadbitter. we really have to cut the squad, cut the wage bill and get a real team together. if billy won't do that, then we need someone who will. our transfers have been brainless really since last summer when we bought a crazy amount of centre mids and really we're still trying to accomodate them all. its quite funny tbh

Rev.

Agree with a lot of your points.

But I don't think next season is make of brake, and nor should it be.

Leicester could of easily got rid of Pearson after spending lots of money and not really seeing great progress. This season they seem to have stabilised, made a few additions to the squad built over a few seasons and are reaping the benefits at present.

Good things come to those who wait.

So many are berating the club for not signing a striker and instead adding another good player?

Come on, if there was a striker out there within budget do you not think they would go been brought in.

As I've said before we've got a tough month ahead and if were still sniffing around the top ten come January we could make a late push...

If it doesn't go to plan this season, things will only get better...let's look forward not backwards.

We're in a good place at the moment, and long may it last..

Strikers have the yips. So drop the highest scoring player (Reid)

It's Davies' tom bola team selection.

Jan will be fine. Davies has a good record of signing players.
Who will he blame this time?

We do seem to have spent a lot of cash on a very average (but large!) squad. The substitutions today were either too late to make a difference (Reid and Paterson) or ineffective (Halford). As soon as Abdoun was sent off we had no idea what to do - apart from battening down the hatches and playing for a draw.

And we were at home! In a few short weeks we have gone from no defensive midfielders to two, and playing one big lump up front (who was then replaced with another). Mackie tried hard, but without a suitable foil up front was always up against it.

It is gutting to think that I thought Blackpool were one of the poorer sides I have seen for a while - but we always looked second best.

There is no plan b.
we need goals he puts on 4 strikers. Yeah. Great.
Who gets the ball to them?
Unfinished business? That, I assume referred to his pay off.

What you lot need is some sort of 'acquisitions panel' to formulate transfer strategy, vet/veto potential deals, etc.

That's 4 strikers who couldn't hit a barn door between them.

What we need to do is recruit some sycophant as CEO to tell the Emperor that his new clothes look fantastic and that his tailor is doing a majestic job, so much so that they should both be granted long term golden contracts for achieving nothing.

That's happened.
Except the CEO is under investigation by the football league.

Preferred to use the last eight matches as an effective barometer. Inconsistent, wasteful and often lacking in ideas. Sterling start to the season has meant we are in a healthy position. Don't understand the aversion to apportioning blame and criticising guilty parties.
We should have sorted the striker situation. I, for one, am happy to constantly harp on about the need to rectify this clear weakness in our team. Davies has the backing he has always asked for. He needs to act to remedy our ailments.

Strett

I don't think its a question of why people are still happy with Davies.

I think it's more of a question of why they should be unhappy.

If you break it down, the guy has been in charge for a very short period. We are sitting in with the pack, we have not been outclassed in any game and we have scored in all but one game.

Team moral is high, the relationship with the owner is healthy..

Time is what is needed, not criticism.

If in 12 months we have not progressed as a club then maybe I can understand you head dropping, but now?

Surely it's too early for such judgments already..

Agreed redexe. He has no one to blame but himself and his 'lawyer' relation if his transfer targets don't materialise.
Personally I would not trust BD with my weekly shopping bill never mind football transfers.

We will soon see panic buying in January; the sort of thing that no right minded person would sanction. But the Emperor will waste others' money, when he should be getting the squad he has, performing to their ability.

We will never progress with BD as manager.
