Here we go again its November and the Arsenal fans are getting carried away well see how they're doing come March/April usually the time when there annual collapse starts.
Arsenal fans must all be hipsters, they so badly want to be alternative and different in a way that's never been seen before.

RGK, if you aren't going to offer anything constructive then please don't comment.
Jammy, a team playing on the counter can play wit an attacking intent as all of our teams have shown over the years.
WNM, what ifs and buts?
Just find Arsenal fans reactions a little hypocritical. I think you played it exactly right today and this is how you should have been playing in games for years.
Your fans just never seemed to be able to accept that but now that it's paid off you've changed your tune, as well as not acknowledging you've played similar tactics to your rivals.

I thought our annual collapse happened around september?
That explains why we have finished the season strongly last 2 seasons.

get over the fact we won, if's and but's dont count
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you've missed his point.
United, Liverpool, Chelsea and City have all used this tactic against better teams. United use it fairly often against Arsenal, as a matter of fact.
Darren's point is that it's often labelled anti-football, because you're not going all gung-ho attack, especially at United, who have a reputation that is somewhat based on that style! However, he is NOT saying you played anti-football, he is trying to get you to realise that it's a decent tactic against superior teams.
What he's saying is, those times that say, United have beaten Arsenal, using the same techniques, is not anti-football, as it has been claimed in the past.
Hope that clears it up.
No one has said you parked the bus.

Nothing like an outdated media sounbite, we'll be hearing about our defence against everton from 4 years back in bit

That's exactly what I'm saying.

no one cares how good u play just as long as u win just look at CFC in the CL Semie's and Final
Well if you play with attacking intent, it quite clearly is not "anti-football".

Apart from Arsenal fans.
Jammy did you actually read the article?
I've never actually seen anyone label United's performance against as ''anti-football'', so I don't know where you've got that from Darren. Big difference between Chelsea's performance against Barca and ours tonight (albeit Chelsea were down to 10 men for the second half).
I actually hate the term ''anti-football'' anyway. I just see it as contrasting styles of play/tactics. At the end of the day you can't expect the likes of Stoke or Sunderland to beat teams the ilk of City by trying to play expansive football.
Darren
no one liked the way Cfc played in the CL when they won it, talk about the Bus tatics, but they won it so good for them.

I was about to say this. Don't even know what they're on about. United is usually an open game where we come off worse.

That is again, beside his point. Why does it not matter how you when, when Arsenal win in that manner, yet I guarantee, if United do the same to you at the weekend, United will be called negative, or anti football, or accused of parking the bus - when it isn't that - it is a tactic.
Arsenal fans have for so long played 'their beautiful game' and disregarded other tactics (by Wenger's own admission) and have for some reason decided that 'their way' is the right way - and other ways of playing looked down upon.
Until tonight, where you played what some of you in the past, have called anti football when relating to other teams.
I'm not saying you parked the bus, or anything. You got it spot on (though I think you were a little fortunate not to be behind before you scored!)

Sorry for lumping you all in to one big group - that should read some Arsenal fans!
Are you kidding? Arsenal fans have been criticising the tactics of Liverpool, Arsenal and United for years.
Plead ignorance all you like, not that I'm accusing you, but it's something that has been said over and over every time our sides have done well in games using these tactics - especially when they're against Arsenal.
Jay
but if Utd win on the weekend by playing negative the Utd fans would take a win no matter how it comes.
It is most likely we'll play in a similar manner you did tonight, at the weekend. We'll have to see what the reactions are should United win that game

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well even teams like sunderland and stoke play with attacking intent at some point in a match, does'nt mean they're not guilty of defending in numbers for large parts of those games as arsenal were tonight, iv'e heard it described as a "mature" performance tonight, not a breathtaking display of attacking intent, which is a nice way of saying you had to defend for large parts but took your chance when it came.
Yes I did but I don't know which examples you are talking about, the only one I can think of is Chelsea. And that match was horrible, even the Chelsea fans themselves will admit.
