Aus, Eng, India and WI have been playing cricket way before us too.
We're just so unpredictable. I bet if we were chasing 150 we would have bottled it. Sri Lanka deserved that. Haven't seen a team come out on day 1 of a test match looking for a draw. We haven't played well this series but we still go away with a decent result.

UH, not a chance. Lanka in the driving seat, but have always been intent on a draw since day 1.
Good to see India maintain their 100% loss record away from home this year. Sharmas consistency is to be applauded - went for 8 per over this game

Need to start winning.

behave, no team deserves to win a match if they cant finish it off, we could have done the easy thing and played for a draw but i bet you would have said look how negative we are etc etc, fact is we chased 300+ at a odi rate which should be applauded not moaned about
Farewell Whatmore or good riddance?
He's achieved nothing in his 2 year term. Not won a single test series, lost to Zimbabwe. We have remained the same in ODIS and we've gone backwards in T20s. Openers are still an issue.
He single handedly ensured we remained negative in our batting approach in tests and in particular ODIS. Yesterday was ample evidence what Pakistan can achieve with a positive mindset. But why did it take that kinda situation for us to play like that?
Bye bye Whatmore, you'll be missed by the minority not majority.

we always seem to take the negatives out of a winning odi series(when we lose the last game) so lets take positives out of this one as wewon the last
A14 your wrong there. In tests we have been average but in one dayer's under Fatmore we improved. Remember before he came in we lost 4-0 to England as well as a home T20 series lost to England.
Since he took over we won the Asia cup, won in India and also conquered South Africa, semi final in T20 WC. The downside was the poor performance in the CT in England but that was more down to poor selection from selectors.
I would have kept Fatmore for Asia cup and T20 WC.

He's led us to 2 test victories from 11. disgrace. Moved us backwards, not forwards. embarrassed us vs zimbabwe.
Granted we did well VS saffers - thats his only acheivement, which was largely due to junaid khan btw, who under fatmores management, we consistentlty drop from the team every 2 games...
regards to india - my grandad could have led us to a victory over there, with our bowlers.
Pakistan's experiences with foreign coaches in the past have not been particularly great.Results under Whatmore have not been great either.But the team was not too keen on his appointment to start with.
There are many Pakistani cricketers who can do the job.... think waqar should be brought back.
