Apparently Bingley the old leaking boot (proper name) has been demolished

So a pint in the stands is your best bet.

If you're stuck, you could try "The Tickled Trout" on the Fish Dock, who sell the full range of Bass Ales.

Correct me if I'm wrong Harrogate, but haven't you only won one in six too?

Made yasen look a bit of a kipper there!

😂 Left floundering there LUFC Harrogate! Like a right clownfish. 👍

You're up for 3 awards at this stage I'd say HARRY-HADDOCK-Gate.
Gormless.
Antagonistic,

Can we AVOID the follow on

beyond Hopuse-less.
Our Top order aren't even comparable to their tail enders !

Also....
Haven't we anyone in the nation that can send one darn quicker than 135kph ?
They are calling our quick's medium pace now on the commentary

Big clean out..starting at the top.
fresh clean start.

Typical isn't it? The one time our middle order show some fight is after a top order collapse.

We're actually 78 for 1 since the debacle of the morning session.

As for playing spin.....

Lyon is as garden variety as you can get at international level and he's had 17 wickets this series! I'd back myself to make 50 off his bowling and my "career" batting average was under 15

I'd be dancing down the wicket like Fred Astaire. "Have that ya balding cockbadger" I would chirp as another six was lost in the Sydney sky.

27-0 already....?

don't know why i'm up watching the last rites...even if we get them to 88-5 we know the Ozzies will still rattle up 350 or so...

hey up drinks ? they've only been on 10 minutes...are we time wasting

Another view point.

If the Aussie top order batsmen had to face their own bowling...I think they too would struggle much the same as or top order ! The Aussie bowling attack seem to have a good 10kph extra pace over our lads.

So it could be argued, That efficiency of the Antipodean middle order & tail end batsman are the significant difference between these two sides.
We'll see when the Aussie's come up against the South Africans in due course.

posted on 4/1/14

They'd certainly face a tougher test that's for sure.

Our undoing has been our shot selection...wafting at wide balls down both sides and some of the leaves have been simply awful. Cook's LBW this morning was a prime example. Warner would struggle because every ball is a boundary attempt for that mentalist, but you just can't see the likes of Clarke and Rogers getting out to the shots we have done.

posted on 4/1/14

Lyon is a buffet bowler, we have played some truly appalling shots against him. The English batsmen should have targeted him just like they targeted Swann. Pathetic.

posted on 4/1/14

Bang on Wethers. Broad came out this morning and immediately hoiked him for 6 & 4 in consecutive deliveries. If the tail can do that then the top and middle order should have absolutely filled their boots against him.

Imagine Warner facing spin like that. He'd get 100 off 5 overs ffs

Darn, this thread is supposedly about Town v Grimsby, not England v Australia. I know your game, desperately trying to get more comments on your match thread. I see right through your rickety plan! You've tried this before you sly sea dog.

Hydy, just spoken to the miserable fish smelling tosspot at the uplink van for SIS live. He was about as much use as a chocolate teapot!! Wouldn't help at all.

Just spoke to a Grimsby can who says its also being shown on Al Jazeerah channel, if that helps!!

All those fish mentioned in previous posts have all been put in a bucket near the entrances because it stinks round here!!

posted on 4/1/14

Now in the ground, stood in Scotties bar having a beer.
they've got chairs, sofas and sky tv, and no smell of fish!!
Result!!
