Agree 38, Yeovil could and should have been level in that match, it all adds up to a mid table finish, which, this season i am happy with.
Good morning ALL & welcome back 38
I'm 'chuffed'.
3-2 away from home, came from behind..twice ,
& we go into the 4th rd draw.
Sheff United, Rochdale & to a lesser extent MK Dons & Blackburn Rovers endorse the 'magic' of the FA Cup.
We all want the underdog to win in this comp year on year..unless it's against 'our' team.
Long may it continue
It could be worse
You lot could have to be watching our lads have ANOTHER cricketing lesson at the hands of these Antipodean 'Lags'
Now if TOWN performed at the level of these 's we would have something to worry about .
OK.
4th round..
Do we want a 'Big' club & immediate cash windfall..
or an 'easy' tie, & keep progressing ?
I'd like the 2nd option, And the increasing excitement/momentum that that brings
(How did the mini break go Mirf ?)
The Town highlights are available on the ITV player , about 5 mins.
Wethers...
The Cricket show is just about to begin ...
That's me for the rest of the morning at least .
See what kind of shambles we get our selves into today
The AirCon & cool drink is 'sorted'....So it's going to be as good as it can be regardless
Darn,
The mini break went very well and although it rained quite a bit, it didn't stop us getting in a couple of decent walks.
We went to a place called Tosside, not far from Settle and of course my son enquired if that was the place where all the t-ssers went, so I told him to go and have a J Arthur Rank.
Ok the shambles, ! They smash about 100 runs in the first session. Setting us 412 to win. By the end of play England will be 140-6 , leaving the torture for tomorrow!
I watched the dale thump leeds while listening to town ont town player....and thats what they did especially the second half...mcormack put one wide but were truly mullered
Welcome home 38.....another leeds hater
Wel...come weeelcome come on in and close the door
you've been goooone tooo long come on in...tell us the score
Have you had a few 's waltz?
I av hydy lol........want a good draw tomoz...away at one of the so called bigger boys......buy us a striker to kick on
Personally , I would like a home tie.
Not bothered who, how big or little.
And someone with reasonable supporters.
The main reason being our experience walking back to the car today; A big thank you to the Grimsby fan with half a brain cell that stopped his mate from taking another aggressive, swearing, spitting step towards me and my son on a side street with his mates, or I could have been on a murder charge.
So yes please, home tie. Apparently we are ball 29 in tomorrow's draw!
UTT?
There's some proper nobs about
23:52 and the town highlights are just on!
We'd have been on near the beginning if we had lost!
So Darn, early night was it?
The match, right result, wrong performance. First half played well and went a goal behind. Second half played poorly and scored three, it's a mystery.
Go and talk cricket elsewhere, as this is a football forum, it's just not cricket pal!
LV
I don't like cricket-ah, no, no, I love it-ah
I hope that's an Angus or Waygu pie there, Champers.
I had to google Waygu. It's too early for edewcayshun
I see 38 is back. Nobody else find it strange that he disappeared through the festive season but now he's suddenly free again....?
?????
Everyone.......

The jokeitically correct one liner goes to......
Hydy, for his, "There's some proper nobs about."
I couldn't put it better myself!
One thing the Grimsby game did for me...made me realise how good it is to be in the Championship !
We had plenty of games like that in League One over the years when we were struggling to get out of that league..Stevenage, Oldham, Rochdale, Hartlepool to name just a few..I also recall Stockport coming to the JSS at the start of one season and totally outplaying us...
Battling teams...ask Leeds about it...
We could quite easily have been eliminated had we not drawn on our own battling qualities when under the cosh, with a noisy partisan crown cheering every header, tackle and pass that Grimsby did...
The FA cup is littered with giant killing results over the decades...but we didn't succumb...
Robins changed things around from the beautiful game to the ugly game to win this tie..and got the rewards.
So when I see comments that we were poor, I disagree..we were just different..we took them on at their own game ..and won. I bet Aston Villa wish they had the same battling qualities.
So, well done Town, and Robins
Who next then ?
Home tie ...but there are plenty of minnows left in the competition..so maybe another tricky unglamorous tie in round 4...Once you get to round 5 it takes on a new dimension. suddenly you're near the quarter finals..interest increases, so does the prize money, TV money and publicity...
Wow, I just read this in gizgoogle. I thought everyone had gone "all Street" on me
