Wow, just wow.
I'm a scouser and I can't believe the way you just tore into Fergie, behind hid back let it be said.
You can rip into Moysey as much as you want but SAF earned the right to be wrong on occasions.
Take the good with the bad matey. Except, I do take your point, there may not be much good in Moysey
Sorry..., Sir Alex deserves a little more respect. Yes, he fooked up a few times on player acquisitions but that does not take away from the genius he was over those years in charge.
As for Moyes, yes....., he's a disaster nightmare for Man U. As a LFC supporter I naturally look forward to him remaining at Old Trafford for years to come.
'mark my words'
Yes, I'll mark the words of an anonymous cyber pontificator who makes a number of factual errors in a short text and thinks he understands the game better than the most successful manager in British football.
People will remember SAF for his last acquisition.
David Moyes
Didnt realise people would take the comment about SAF so one dimensionally. Maybe i should have firstly stated that I worshipped SAF for many many years and consider him unquestionably the greatest manager of all time, bar none. Every manager makes mistakes and I am merely pointing out that this may be one such case...
As for Red Russian, advise me of the 'number of factual errors' i have made. Furthermore, having a cyber name makes you no less 'anonymous' than me...

Then SAF will be fondly remembered.

Even if Moyes loses every game for the rest of his time at United and is sacked at the end of the season in shame Sir Alex will be remembered for all the success he brought United.
The opinion you've just put forward tells us all about just how small minded and infant-like you are when it comes to football.

Not really because the hard work of SAF over the last 27 years, most of all never being on the back foot and fighting fires 24/7, has been eroded by the appointment of Moyes.
Here's to a summer of trying to keep our best players rather than signing new ones.

1) Naturally, we are all anonymous. I wouldn't trust the credentials of anyone on these boards above that of a highly paid professional. That's why I raise an eyebrow or two when posters use phrases like 'mark my words' and 'take it from me'. However, the fact that you only have a user ID in your name gives you a further degree of anonymity, as no one will remember those digits, meaning we don't get to know you as a persona on this forum or to 'mark your words'.
2) Factual errors:
a) United did pursue Essien for a prolonged period of time. Lyon's president priced us out of the market and then Chelsea came in with a bid we couldn't match.
b) Bebe wasn't a homeless footballer. He didn't have 3 months' top flight experience.
c) Despite Beckham's carefully crafted PR, there is little evidence that Fergie pushed him out of the door. The club offered him a new contract, on which he stalled. Months before the end of the season, Beckham was checking out real estate and schools in Madrid. When United agreed to sell him to Madrid Beckham and Real signed a contract (the terms of which would have usually required hundreds of lawyer hours) the very next day. The two obviously fell out, but there is strong evidence that the cause of the rift was Fergie's awareness that Beckham was jumping ship.
d) Not exactly a factual error but how anyone can describe the sale of Ince as one of Fergie's historic mistakes, bearing in mind the quality and immediate achievements of the players he made room for, hardly reflects well on the clarity of your thinking.

SLM, do you have the same levels of loyalty to your friends and family members as you do your club?
Fergie gave us more highs than supporters of most clubs are lucky to experience in several consecutive lifetimes. But that counts for nothing now because you think he has saddled the club with a successor under whom the glory won't be sustained? This is the attitude of the surly adolescent or the toddler who pummels the floor because his parent said he'd have to wait until tomorrow to get that new toy.
You do realise you will have no right to share in the joy when the club gets back to where it needs to be, don't you?

Giggs and Beckham both signed for United on their 14th birthdays. Prior to that they attended City's and Spurs' schools of excellence as well as representing boys' local clubs. I'm not sure you can say either player is a product of City / Spurs.
By the way, Fergie personally intervened to make sure United got the signature of Giggs and the club was active in securing Beckham's.

Haven't visited before but reading the forums I think it's obvious how disheartening the whole man utd situation is. Fergie dragged a bunch of average players to a title on the back of a few talented guys last year. Moyes can't do the same so don't expect him to. Our once dominant defence is a shambles. If jones and smalling are in fact the future of man utd and England, then play them and leave vidic and Evans behind(neither of whom deserve to play based on recent performances). Man utds midfield was immense many years ago. Ronaldo masked an average midfield for a few years but now it's glaringly obvious how deficient we are. When carrick is the best option, it's time to revamp. Fellaini was a panic buy and is not worth his place, let alone the price tag. How do we spend close to 30 million on him and refuse dembele for 10??? We are facing into a dark era unless we change the whole midfield and play the defence that will lead us into a new era(Rafael,Jones,Smalling). We need to release Valencia, young, nani(if he is not world class by now he never will be, and that's the standard we want), cleverly, carrick and Anderson. Giggs should retire. I know that sounds extreme but I think it's time for those measures. We should have kept Meulensteen on for stability in a transition period. W should also buy that young Everton midfielder Barkley and make him the centre piece of the new midfield. If we continue to accept sub standard footballers at the best club in the world then we won't achieve anything. Fergie is gone and so is his power...."
