Dubbed they offered him on the last day but for a certain demand. I think if we didnt put that 40m plus one pound bid we would have eventually got him.

No way. Not all PL clubs sell their best players to their rivals.
What the fack would you know glory hunter. Dont question me. Your rivals now is Stoke
Yeah that's what I think as well.
"No way. Not all PL clubs sell their best players to their rivals."
True. But Man U isn't Chelsea's or Arsenal's rivals.
Utd fans still have the audacity to come out with the line you guys should be grateful some clubs do sell to rivals, never seen you guys so happy after you signed Mata.

Who was talking about United? I was talking about LFC and Arsenal. Are you a little confused?

I think we were equally happy when another team from London sold us their best player.
Arsenal are big on charity so I'm glad we could help the less fortunate.

What? Is this moron serious? What were you referring to when you said when you said not all clubs sell to their rivals?
Keep in mind you're a Manc too. Pretty obvious what you meant.

You now have an injury-prone 29 year old on high wages. Well done United.

I was responding to the assertion that LFC would have sold you Suarez if not for the 40m + £1 bid. I don't believe that to be the case. What has that got to do with United and whether Arsenal and Chelsea are our rivals?
Samir, I choose to see it as a world class backup striker.

We'll see how that pans out I guess. Still another title in the record books though eh? I'm happy with that.
Sorry 8bit that post was in response to Dubbed not you.
Darren It was only a response to that WUM Elvis, although the comment does seem to ring true.
Never liked your blue suede shoes
I guess the thing is that being on big wages isn't that big a deal really, especially with quite a few players being moved off the wage bill.
His injuries are a concern, though. But having Mata now makes it less of a concern because we have a player that can replace what Rooney does in the hole and move Rooney up front if he cannot stay fit, and then have a quality backup player.
As he's our best striker I worry about the injuries, of course, but I've seen quite a few people saying that maybe he should be moved on because he won't play all the time and is on big wages, but then why complain about us not having a good enough squad and then want to move on a class player?
D'you guys not worry a little bit that Moyes won't be able to get the best out of Mata? I'm being sincere btw.
Yeah I do a bit. What I'll say about Mata is that he seems like he can step up when needed, he carried Chelsea at times.

Yeh a little, but we have to give him a chance. Moyes is too cautious for me, but hopefully he'll adapt to being the United manager and become more adventurous. He's said that he wants us to play attractive football and the players we've gone after seem to support that, so we'll just see what happens.
To answer your simple question, yes he is.....
