Anyone else falling a bit out of love with

Nope. I couldnt care less if the media was full of anti-Spurs stories every day of the week or whether we were fighting relegation every season. My love for THFC will never fade.

I pains me to say, but I agree with nearly everything you say. I've barely missed a game at WHL for the last 5 years but now I don't have the same passion and excitement for the reasons you list.

I'm very jealous of my Palace friends. Cheap season tickets, amazing atmosphere and low expectations. What more could you ask for a match day experience?

In Harry and Bale you had two media darlings plus you played same great football and were the underdogs always trying to sneak into that fourth spot. The media loved you, pundits loved you, neatural fans loved the stylistic underdog. Unfortunately for the media and the neatural there is nothing much left to love.

WTF. I was there when they were relegated, that is something to moan about. Typical modern fan, not everything goes right so you are ready to dump the club. Go support the chavvies, they are have thousands like that jumped on the bandwagon with the success, and will all jump off when the success stops.

Agreed the media hate British players/managers being replaced by foreigners.

Btw, neatural?!

I must admit, i'm surprised any fan even thought of this, let-alone posted it - especially where poster's reputations of what they post seem to stick.

Really surprised with this article, Edin.

Read the article before you comment. I still passionately support the club, however the way the club is run these days fills me more with contempt than it ever has before.

Edin,

Without sounding patronisng, i think us fans should concentrate more on supporting THFC as a club and not care what goes on at senior management level or in the media.

My love for THFC as a club has never decreased and will never die - and ive never had any such thoughts.

Fair enough Chicken, however I am far from happy to look at club that is now seen as having 'anti-semitic' fans (rightly or wrongly), with a medical team that appears to be a joke etc.

A club who throws flares at linesmen, or coins at Walcott...

I wish I could be the same Chicken. However I quite like the whole aspect of how a club is run from top to bottom, the business behind football is pretty interesting to me.

I'm still stupid (passionate) enough to fly down to London next weekend, to stay in hotel and spend sheit loads on a round trip just to see an hour and a half of football.

Its possible to love a club but still not look forward to the match day.

I think before you would go to a game expecting to see something brilliant by Bale, or previously VDV, Ginola, Sheringham, Klinsmann or a Gascoigne.

I can't say that even when we win I expect to see something brilliant. Although Paulinho's goal the other day was class.

The shame is we have talented players. Just disappointing how they are being applied tactically.

still love spurs. love football less.

this is how the league will end up

1. city - most money
2. Chelsea - second most money
3. arsenal - third most money etc etc

only one missing is united and if they had a decent manager they would be up there too.

and even if by some fluke a team has a bad season (Chelsea 6th), they just all out defend/fluke their way to the champions league

I guess it maybe is football that I love less and less more than anything. However things like the Stubhub and the way the club is turning are increasingly infuriating.

Rallying cry!!

Let's all just get behind the team. Let's sing passionately at the games and let's not flood the phone-ins with negativity and criticisms when things go wrong.

I think if we all stick together we can still acheive something this season. And even if we don't, let's puff out our chests anyway!

COYS!

pointless to even say this.

the next game v everton, the lane will be quiet as a little mouse, and every bad pass will be greeted with moans and jeers.

despite it being a crucial game.

As a small number of us said at the time, sacking Harry and replacing him with AVB was a bad move and the first of several backward steps. Just when the club looked like they were finally getting it right, they show themselves in the foot and began a period of regression. Meanwhile clubs that we had leapfrogged - Everton, Liverpool, and arsenal whom we'd caught up - have got their house in order which makes things doubly hard for us to achieve our goals. It is very down heartening to see the club play great football with class players like bale, Modric, VDV, suddenly start going backwards and replacing those players with Bentaleb, Dembele etc. The defence is a shambles, the manager is an amatuer, 'new striker' is a flop. Somehow we're still in with a shout of 4th but I don't see it happening at all. We're a shadow of the 2011 Spurs side, and all of our own doing more or less. This makes me miserable, especially when I watch things like the 2-3 at the Emirates on YouTube. But I've had worse times as a spurs fan and will never stop supporting no matter what.

We are going backwards though and can see where your coming from edin.

Weren't long ago I'd go into a game thinking we'd win it and now I thinking we best not lose.

Like at the weekend I was happy with a draw v hull

This is a line up 2 seasons ago

Norwich V Tottenham Hotspur 0-2
24 Friedel
03 Bale x2 goals
04 Kaboul
13 Gallas
28 Walker
32 Assou-Ekotto (Rose - 72' )
08 Parker (Livermore - 90' )
11 Van der Vaart (Kranjcar - 85' )
14 Modric
30 Sandro
10 Adebayor

Edin,

==============

The club didnt throw coins at anyone, stupid individuals did. And if you think this is the lowest act any individual has done since the day THFC was formed, then you are mistaken.

Plus, our club has been in far worse states, nearly going bankrupt, threat of points deductions, and all sorts.

Life is far more rosier now than it has been historically.

Maybe we deserve the stick. Did Harry deserve the sack? No chance. Everything bad that has happened since is partly down to the fact that he's not here anymore. I've never said 'I told you so' with regards to the post-Harry depression but I did call this way back when he was sacked. Yet there were so many on here pleased he left and ecstatic when AVB took over. Look how it's turned out.

Basically the real culprit is Levy. He builds, he destroys. That's his blueprint and it doesn't matter whether things go well for Tim or for Louis Van Gaal, it will be destroyed again, all the time Levy is in charge.

Cheers for the link appspur, good read

Windy makes a lot of good points, however I'm not sure about his summary:

"My biggest issue with Levy is his record with managers, but it’s disingenuous for fans to suggest it’s easy to find a manager who can meet our goals with as thin of a margin we’ve had."

My biggest issue with Levy is also his track record with managers, although the author apportions most of the blame to fan's expectations and the managers for not being good enough. IMO Levy is being disingenuous for not realising a few bad results (or dodgy press conferences) does not a bad manager make.

Who knows where Jol, Harry, or AVB could've taken us given more time and full backing from the board.. it's always going to be a struggle to remain competitive with the top sides in the division. The way I see it only a manager who has the time - and trust - to shape his own squad will be able to get the best from it.

All this is short term though, and I don't love the club any less even if I think the current chairman acts like a plank at times.
