As someone who lived through a lot of the lows I do get frustrated but then again I am someone who loves an overhaul when poopy hits the fan.
Will always love Spurs as you can never take anything for granted and it makes for a more exciting season

Maybe if Levy had been a bit more willing to support Harry in Jan transfer windows we wouldn't have experienced the collapses we had.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Redknapp consistently had a large squad of players, he just never properly utilised them. He would play regulars into the ground while the backup would sit on the bench and get no game time, no match fitness and would be understandably demotivated.....and it often showed when they were called upon.

Easier to fall out of love with your mum Edin (not your mum in particular btw) than with your football team. The really sad bit is we get our hopes up and then bang, something transpires to knock us down again. Harry with his trial followed by the England debacle. AVB, hammered by Liverpool in front of big money stadium investors, has a row with the Chairman over team selection and we end up with an untried, inexperienced head coach whose main claim to fame appears to be he supported Arsenal as a yoof. He certainly doesn’t appear to be a tactical genius or an inspired or inspiring leader of men either. The Hull game was a must win for me as was 12 out of 12 for February which is now ever more likely to be 7 from 12. In a few miserable months we will be a upper mid table side and the rags will be full of Spurs failures once again. About the only bright spot has been the demise of United (see it can happen to the best of them) and Arsenal buying a player with half his spine missing. Funny old game football but fall out with Spurs, NEVER!!!
Spurtle2
Harsh on AVB Chicken. He came 5th but with our highest tally ever, higher than Redknapp's. He was simply unfortunate it didn't see us finish 4th.
==============
Its not harsh at all. Its a fair and valid point. I think any fan would (or should) prefer to finish 4th on X points, rather than in 5th on X+2.
Sorry to sound like RDBD there, but that is the truth.
And i again reiterate, i would much rather have a wobble and finish 4th, than a wobble (or a season in general), where we finish in 5th. Regardless of how you dress it up, 4th is a better ranking and finishing position than 5th. Always has and always will be.
And i would apply this logic to any manager, for any club, in any league, in any country.
Sorry to sound like RDBD there,

Completely true short back and sides.
Dont talk about my mumma again though
I haven't loved Spurs as much as I did under Jol, struggle to get any passion nowadays.
chicken. you are once again missing the point.
how is it that you consistently miss the point ?
yes we would all rather finish 4th than 5th, obviously, but that doesn't mean that AVB wasn't unfortunate to finish 5th, considering that he managed a higher points total than we achieved in either of the two recent seasons in which we came 4th.
quite simple really
Devon,
Redknapp consistently had a large squad of players, he just never properly utilised them. He would play regulars into the ground while the backup would sit on the bench and get no game time

Yet it was proven last season that AVB played the same players even more than Harry did.
The stats as at 13/03/2013 were as follows:
Bale's appearances:
2011/12 (under Harry) - 42
2012/13 - 35 (under AVB) - with a minumum of 11 games left.
So AVB played Bale more.
Lennon......
2011/12 (under Harry) - 32 games
2012/13 (under AVB) - 41 games - with a minumum of 11 games left.
12/13 Dembele had played 31 at this point (transferred from Fulham).
11/12 Waker (under Harry) - 48 games
12/13 Walker (under AVB) - 40 games - with minimum of 11 games left.
This was also confirmed on an article that you was on Devon, back in 13/03/2013 under this link:

I love Spurs too, but at the end of the day it's still a man made frachise, a company, a corporation. To say I bleed lillywhite or Tottenham till I die is just overkill to me. There is more to life than worshipping, say, McDonald's. Like, family. The fact that man fans are just moody, profanity obsessed, growling face loud mouths says it all. The atmosphere at games on the Continent is more upbeat passion. Done.
I miss HRH, shame he asked to close his account
Chronic,
You seem to miss the point, which is kind of confirmed if you read between the lines, and that is it has been proved that the record tally gained in a particular season, compared to the previous, counts for nothing.
Each league starts as zero points each, and our aim is to finish on more points than at least 3 other teams.
Harry did this twice. AVB did not.
You can reel out about getting a certain points total, yet the only thing that matters is the league position in the end.
The same goes for relegated teams, if a team gets relegated on more points than they survived on last year, it counts for nothing - they go down and their manager is considered a failure.
Thats football - so you either get the point and understand the sport or you dont.
And it seems you dont...
Edin,

Me too - but i'm not surprised. There was a particular clique mentality this time last year and he obviously couldnt be bothered with it.

No no, that wasn't why. HRH got on with the 'clique' anyway, he just said that found himself investing too much time onto this website and it was affecting his work. That is all.
Did he really say that?
I didnt get the impression HRH was in any clique. In fact, he was labelled delusional etc by the mob back then just as much as i was.
It did get a bit frustrating at times and i wouldnt be surprised if he used "work matters" as an excuse to leave, as he didnt strike me as the type to throw his toys out.
But as with RRP, we'll never know....
Was I in the mob ?
Who is in the mob chicken?
Nah he emailed Admin specifically telling them that it was more due to the fact that he was spending so much time on here that it was affecting work or summit. I forget the exact message.
HRH got on with most though, bar maybe Sandy I think.
