Anyone else falling a bit out of love with

As someone who dislikes avb almost as much as chicken I have to admit results wise avb did a good job last season.

However, I was never fully convinced with the style of play and feel this season he got truly found out without Bale and his stubborn nature becoming more prominent

What confuses me is that now we're a third into the season it's now, not after or before AVB's departure, it's now that the so called fan base are kicking up a fuss if the Spurs board management!

Less they forget without the financial management Daniel Levy brought to the table I'd fear we'd be West Ham, similar fan base, size of stadium,

I've seen too many sheep on Twitter filing larger accounts and jumping on the bandwagon, it's pathetic!

Fans should do one thing, support the team on match day

The moment we start getting banners out, calling for Levys head is the moment we become nothing like Billy Nicholson aspired to be, and we become another Chelsea circa 2003.

Of course the club has made mistakes. Not every business is perfect. I want success but not at the cost of a billionaire owner who wouldn't care about the club

Too many fickle, uneducated morons in the stands who expect too much, the board the club have NEVER answered to the fans. Why should they?

You watch, end of the season we (could) finish either 4th or with a Europa trophy,

Watch them come crawling back,

To lose Harry, AVB

Rafa, Luka. Bale, Corluka, King, Benny was huge.

Get some perspective

I've not fallen out of love with Spurs. Far from it, I've never felt connected to Spurs. They've always kept us at arms length,

I've not expected answers because we've never been Successful, I'd say Everton are pretty much the northern tottenham

A club built on history, always just about there, but consistently failing, one run in the CL but the only difference

Those 2 priceless league cups

But in all seriousness it makeshift laugh just because we got a little CL run with 3 of the best players in the clubs history (Luka, Bale and Rafa) we somehow consider ourselves top dogs

Well this puppy ain't buying it.

Like any business you review come seasons end.

Old Goooner Tim has got 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss (against the best team in the league)

There's no shame

good article guys

i have to say it makes me chuckle how dreamy eyed some fans get over Harry (fridgeboy, looking at u mate sorry)

He was far from perfect and his relative success was much to do with the group of players he had at his disposal like Thudd mentions

It doesn't matter who is in charge, if you remove players like Bale and Modric from any team they would suffer. Even Real Madrid would feel the impact if those two were to leave.

Personally i am a content Spurs fan. I remember not so long ago we really were stuff of comedy. We have come a long way in the last decade and if circumstances were different, namely if billionaire owners didn't invade, you have to wonder where we would be right now.

i want to know who is in the mob chicken.

please elaborate

Alright THudd I think I have some perspective.

I just think the club (not the players and cant really blame the manager) have got it wrong so many times. I have also questioned them throughout the season, obviously ENIC can say how far forward they took us. However no one ever gave Harry credit when he gave us that line.

I just think it's pathetic that now fans decide to turn on the club. Should be concentrating on supporting the team. Leave the day to day running of the football club to the experts

This is sacrilege. You must support Spurs come what may. If we were glory seekers, we wouldn't be supporting Spurs.

OP - you're missing the whole point of being a Spurs fan. We don't support Spurs because they're "the best" (obviously, because we are far from the best!) - we support them out of some weird and very-difficult-to-explain masochistic unrequited love for all that is good in this world even though you know in your heart that every false dawn will bear ill fruit and you'll die alone and in pain wondering where it all went wrong....

If you can't take the disappointment, please go and follow another football team. (But please don't really, as we need everyone we can get to share the pain!)

You have to put the Pav price tag into context though. 14 or so million was a huge amount. Plus, Kaboul signed for Spurs twice, so we paid roughly 14 million for him overall and he hasnt even played 70 league games! (despite him being one of my favourite players).

Comoli's method appeared to be 'throw enough sh.it'

Sold Pav for like 6.5 or something wasnt it?

I do like the ideology of early naughties Spurs in signing young though. Which is why our team after 3/4 years together became so good.

If we were able to hold onto the players the same, our young team could now also become so so good.

------------

We paid around £10m
Then sold for £5.5m
Then paid £5m
So only cost the original transfer fee.

Boateng

We paid around £2.6m
Sold for £3.9m.

Didn't relise he's at schalke now

Plus agent fee

and probably increased wage demands as a result of his successful spell away

That's all irrelevant as part and parcel and at best is just a guesstimate

Nothing irrelevant about the spending of extra funds, even if it is 'part and parcel'.

You wouldnt discount the spend on an airplane ticket because airport tax is 'part and parcel'
