Everyone commits niggly fouls. It's just part of being a professional. Even when I was at school we were told to leave our foot in etc so the opposition know you're there
Don't think I've seen a winner more than Suarez in years and it's not just his goals, it's the assists he makes and what really does it for me is when he is in the right place to score and teammate doesn't pass, how frustrated he looks.
Genius footballer and one of the few players who have a dubious history who have turned me big style.
Having said that Hazard is a real gem but as yet is not the main man in a team and that the challenge he has to rise to but a joy to watch nonetheless

Not the main man ??
Hazard is the main reason we're still challenging for the title.
I actually think Sturridge and Hazard are fighting for runner up
Suarez wins it though, hands down
I think Suarez deserves it. But having said that, the few big games that I've seen him in, he has been nowhere near as affective as he is against teams in the bottom half. Hazard isn't far off him though. And I think Aguero is the better player. But he has missed too much of this season through injury.
I personally rate Aguero higher than anyone in the league, however hes been in and out with injuries. Also I don't think Sturridge is anywhere near Hazard. If Bale can win YPOTY last year, then surely Hazard deserves it this year.
Certainly wished we had him with Luis .
Also I don't think Sturridge is anywhere near Hazard.
.....
Really?
Dan has 16 goals and 4 assists
Hazard has 12 goals and 5 assists
Want to know the best part - Hazard has played 8 more games.
As a matter of fact, Sturridge has only started 16 which is 10 less than Hazard
Sturridges stats are as good as anything in Europe right now. For you to dismiss someone with those numbers is mind boggling
Suarez should never ever be voted Footballer of the year, he is an absolute disgrace to any profession let alone football. I mean who goes around biting people, not once, but twice. It is like giving man of the year to Gary Glitter because he has not commited an offence for a couple of years.
On the day that Sir Tom Finney has passed away, I would be horrified if that low life was anywhere near the top honour in British football for an inividual.

Metro that's not the only way to judge a player though is it?
Sturridge is a striker, Hazard is a midfield player and two totally different types of player....
I agree Sturridge should not be dismissed, he is an incredibly talented goal scorer, but posting stats in isolation of all other things that come into evaluating a player really doe not hack it..
go píss yourself again sandy
Like the FA, Sandy has forgotten about the biter Defoe as he sits in his glass house/bedsit, throwing stones. Presumably he sat in his own filth frothing with rage when Defoe represented his National team.

For those who have taken their eye of the ball here.........
Definition of what the PFA Player of the Year Award is and what it is awarded for:
"The Professional Footballers' Association Players' Player of the Year is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best player of the year in English football"
When anyone considers who the best player of this season - whether people like him or not - is Luis Suarez has to be the runaway winner for consistently playing at the highest level, being top goal scorer with a goal ratio of 1.10 in the premier league and his 8 assists (second only to Gerrard and Rooney)
The only other contender (put forward by old Maureen) - Edin Hazard has scored 12 goals with a ratio of 0.46 - and he doesn't even appear in the top 20 of assists

first of all there is no doubt that suarez should and will win the award....
But this obsession with using stats as above as justification shows a complete lack of understanding of football.

Stats are a reasonable indication of where a player is.
If hazard is a midfielder then shouldn't he be gettign assists? why has he only got one more than sturridge having played 8/10 games more??
Also how can suarez have almost twice as many.
These damned liverpool strikers and their good all round play; scoring goals and setting them up... but they play in a different position so it doesn't count
Did I not post this?...
first of all there is no doubt that suarez should and will win the award....
The stats being quoted here are incredibly limited and what the hell is wrong with some common sense qualitative analysis?
To be fair hazard has a slighttly higher rating on that website

I think sturridge's defensive contribution is too small, but then he's told to stay up front and break with pace so you can't blame him. He also has fewer dribbles and key passes, which is strange considering how we play a "much more attacking football".
Sturridge dominates on stats that matter though, and unfortunately it's a game where you want to score goals, so scoring and assisting goals shows you're more effective imo
As an attacker, imho, if you score/ assist once every two games and win every game 1-0 to win the league, I wouldn't call you the best attacker in the league, because you haven't demonstrated your skill adequately. You've been effective and efficient, but not outstanding
Just my opinion
