Poetry in motion to Boney M has made a comeback in the last few months on the Kop. Great song.
Used to be sung regularly when we going for titles back in the day.
Most though are sung by some other club, somewhere.

Liverpool had it first

HAHAHAHA, Are you serious?
United used to sing YNWA before Liverpool adopted it as their anthem. Truth.

Yes i'm serious - nice try though
the wnky tottenham hotspur went to rome to see the pope
Best Song Ever!
Metro, are you aware that the first time YNWA was sung by football fans was after the 1958 Munich Air Disaster. It wasn't an anthem for United fans, but we definitely sung it first. Liverpool fans adopted it in the 60s.

You should try starting a resounding chorus your YNWA at OT
Good luck

No thanks.
But that wasn't my point. My point was simply that we did sing it first, after the Munich Air Disaster.
Surprised nobody's mentioned Stoke and their Delilah chant. Bit of a silly chant in my opinion anyway.
Says one old woman. Is there any other proof out there?

I've heard this is true.
Frankly i don't really care. The song is synonymous with Liverpool and to a lesser extent Celtic after it was popularised by Gerry and the Pacemakers in the 60's. Celtic fans also claim they sung it first.
I never knew their were so many precious Rodgers and Hammerstein fans around in the 40's and 50's.

Two separate radio programs tracing the history of the song, including its connection with soccer, found Hardwick's account so unreliable and/or unpersuasive as to not even bother mentioning her.[09][10] Other individuals such as Jim White, author of Manchester United: The Biography, have researched similar anecdotal accounts, including the assertion that "You'll Never Walk Alone" was originally performed at Old Trafford by members of the Chorlton Operatic Society. But finding no record of such a performance, White says "this is unlikely".[11]
I think its funny that Gerry & The Pacemakers are diehard Everton fans though, makes the song even more bizarre.
Spurs fans,
What about - We're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane Tottenham... We're the Shelf Side.... etc
Is that unique to us? Never heard it anywhere else.

this is just your run of the mill Manc stereotyping of thieving scousers then
I'm surprised they haven't got a song about believing that YNWA is their song as they have loads of songs about us. Whereas in the main we prefer to sing about our club/ team/players
All the talk of YNWA is getting boring now. Do scousers have to hijack every thread?
