I got lucky. My old man told me to practice using my left foot, when I was a kid, so I did and became just as good with my left as I was with my right.

That enabled me to play at a higher level because I could play on the left than I would have if I had only been right footed.

Out of interest what level did you play at VC.

I only play nine a side on the astro on Wednesday evenings and some local summer tournaments that no-one really takes seriously so haven't played to any level.

However, I can use my left foot if required (being right footed I prefer the right) and I can never understand if I can shoot left footed with decent power why someone like Valencia, for erxample, cannot. I don't really understand that to be honest as being a footballer is their job so surely being able to kick with both feet would be something they'd practice.

Out of interest what level did you play at VC.

Conference North and South level, I would say. Not quite good enough to make any money from it.

I am both footed but have bad stamina and so get stuck at RB or LB

I have one bad foot one terrible one and no illusions about it.

Still a high level to be fair.

It still annoys me though when you see players refuse to use their 'weaker' foot.

I'm not particularly picking on Valencia here (honest) but if he cut inside sometimes and had a dig at goal it may free up some space next time for him to go the wide route as defenders will be unsure of where he is going.

Maybe not quite the same but imagine a pro boxer with only one punching arm! Before anyone says anything I am aware boxers do have their preferred side.

If you've got bad stamina you shouldn't be playing fullback!

No.....they try me at CB but I trip up over my feet. I tend to be a sit back FB and rely on our box to box to push out right
