Didn't Maidana beat Soto-karass two years ago, in round 8?
And that obviously isn't Maidana's best win. Really.
I'm sure a guy like Thurman, whose best wins are against borderline top ten journeymen, who flies in with his hands at his waist, is the antidote to Floyd's movement and pin point counters. Yeah, that makes alot of sense.
When Thurman beat Karass, Karass was coming off his two best career wins.
Karass was in a competitive, close fight was Maidana. Maidana won TKO, in a fight people feel was stopped early, although I was fine with it. Thurman won every round against Karass and actually put him to sleep.
You tell me which is more impressive?
Canelo and Lara both stopped Angulo in the 10, does that mean their wins were equally impressive? You probably think so, because you are irrational and deluded.
It says a lot about Floyd if he's been fighting guys with similar level resumes to Thurman, no?
Soto-karass is not Maidan's best win. You are the first person I have heard say that. Maidana clearly has a far better resume than Thurman. Strangely you think he doesn't.
I have said I am not happy with Floyd's recent choice of opponents. If Khan is next I will be fuming.
Beating Ortiz and Broner makes him have a far better resume than Thurman, yeah? Chaves would crush those guys.
Khan would be a great fight for Floyd, I'd be happy with that. He's got the handspeed, footspeed, respectable power, combination punching, heart etc.
Much better than fighting androids like Maidana, don't you think?
Why do you think Maidana ducked Thurman btw?
I dont think he did.
I think Maidana is a better fighter than Khan, despite the loss against him. Khan has got some great tools, but he lacks so much. Chin, inside game, brains. It will take a hell of a fighter to beat mayweather and Khan is average. Before you say it, so is Maidana but I already said I don't like Floyd's recent opponents.
Maidana clearly isn't on Khan's level. Khan has beaten better fighters than Maidana has...and beaten Maidana himself.
Khan's suspect chin won't cost him against somebody like Floyd.
Maidana won't win a single round against Floyd, Khan would win a few.
And Maidana did duck Thurman:

Apparently Thurman was too big...yet he went and fought Soto Karass who is probably the biggest WW out there after Porter
Thanks for the link. It may have been the case that Maidanas handlers thought it was a risky match against a relatively unknown fighter. I highly doubt Maidana himself ducked the fight.
The worst thing Maidana signed for the fight and then pulled out...bottled it at the last minute.
