Tbh Walcott was in acres of space despite most of the team being in our own half. Everyone moved towards the ball.

Lovren stepped out for no reason at all. Hendo was deeper than him and picked up no-one. Only Klavan followed his man but then left the space for Walcott.

Along the lines of it being a near perfect goal because we had 6? Players in the box, so it was a well worked team goal.

Shows how much he loves counter attacking, it's the only real chance you get to overload defenders like that, especially coupled with him moreno comments Re: getting forward quickly.

But expecting 6 in the box is a long way from the "Suarez lone striker, nobody in the box" tactics

You ask any manager the ideal way to create chances and 90% of them will say winning the ball high when the opposition counter.

At no other point in modern football do you get more space. Suarez, tories, rush, were all masters of nicking the ball like that and thrived on it, sturridge has always thrived on the space too but has never pressed like the others mentioned.

That used to really p*ss me off at times under BR. We'd be trying to stick in crosses for Suarez (later Sterling) who were on their own in the box. Even though Suarez was decent in the air for his size it was such a waste of possession.
