Klopp confirmed the Mane injury was a collision between 2 players

It must be Moreno. There can be no other answer.

All the pressure got to the poor lad. He just wanted to impress everyone.

I genuinely believe that if he cut his hair he'd get less grief.

Interesting article.

1) Klopp doesnt understand the criticism of moreno, alludes to it being a bit of a media construction when he says "perhaps if i read more papers i would understand the conversation"

2) Says they have 3 people to cover every position, Lists moreno "Milly" and "clyney" as the three left back players.

3) Doesnt feel any one person should take the blame for a defensive mistake if there are multiple errors leading up to it.

Wish someone had asked him about banning Man-Buns..

You can have a top knot if you're good at football and stuff. Like white boots.

First thing I always did in a match was smash someone wearing white, gold or silver boots.

I find that quite interesting really. There is a middle ground though I'm sure.

Its a pretty definitive defence of moreno, He could have just said "there is no problem" to take the heat off him, but to actively lay the blame for the situation elsewhere suggests to me that he really is happy with what moreno provides us.

He also doesnt suggest klavan as a left back (not to say he wouldnt use him there)

And its also good to know there is method to our transfers, in terms of squad depth. although i would have liked another "proper" left back as an alternative to moreno rather than moving players around.

Klopp is demented...i wouldnt trust anything he says.

---------------
I have never seen anyone so desperate to be proved right. It's not a definitive defence of Moreno from Sunday at all. It's a general defence of one of his players against the media, who are trying to get something out of him.

"In my opinion, we could have avoided this situation five or six times before and then we came to this situation where Alberto could have done better, that's right, but that's all.

You can say this about virtually every goal conceded, you look back and it's all ifs and buts. He said Alberto could of done better, ergo he made an error.

But if Clyne plays LB who do we have to cover RB?

Where does he actively lay the blame elsewhere? We knew he'd say something along these lines all along, and so it should be. I wouldn't call it a definitive defence of Moreno either, just a defence of Moreno would suffice for me.

All he says is that there were other errors as well, including Moreno's. Managers say that just about every time a player commits a howler. He would still say this even if he wasn't entirely happy with Moreno.

posted on 18/8/16

Any manager worth their salt defends a player when he is under the glow of the media. They are only chucked under a bus for specific reasons.

This is just bog standard stuff from Klopp and is the correct way of handling the situation.

I think Moreno.

Inverted full backs is the way forward.

Only one ball? Shows how much you know about football.

Klopp said something along the lines of "I dont understand why we are having this conversation, perhaps if I read more newspapers I would understand the conversation"

Implying that the whole debate is a construction of the media, hence laying the blame elsewhere.

And term, I don't think anyone is saying moreno didn't make an error, klopp is saying why blame moreno, there were errors made before his so where do you draw the line?

I'm not even sure who is being proven right, I said it was an Interesting interview.

Klopps opinion aligning with my opinion that moreno makes mistakes, but takes the blame for far too much does not prove anything, that's just you projecting your herd mentality on to me. Opinions are not fact, lots of people having the same opinion does not make it fact.

And no point did I even say anything about klopp agreeing with me
