anyone else getting really worried st how bad we are?

I think playing milner today was ridiculous, took all attacking impetus from us.

Sturridge on the left was woeful. It looked like he lined up there rather than drifting

Burnley took their chances, we couldn't create anything.

The start of the season is always odd though, teams settling, players still transferring, not at full fitness..

Personally won't read too much in to it at this point

We were crying out for someone like Benteke today

A terrible result. We concede goals too easily and that means we don't stay in games we are dominating.

If you stay in a game at 1-0 even then you can push in the last 10 with the opposition under pressure, but because we are too easy to score against that doesn't happen.

A lot of pressure on the Spurs game now.

A win and our start will look very good with 6 points and three away games out of the way already.

Lose and we are staring in the face of oblivion already with Leicester and Chelsea our following two games.

Our start was always tough and losing to Burnley was the last thing we needed.

I dunno. I think most of us would've expected three points from Arsenal and Burnley away. Today is just very disappointing after the great result at the Emirates.

Spurs don't look great at the minute so it could be a good time to play them. Conceding 5 in two games is a major concern however and an area where we just don't seem to have improved. I'm not convinced by Milner at left back either.

I don't understand the left back position.

We sold our understudy and loaned out another option, and now pick a midfielder ahead of our only specialist.

It's not the sole reason we have conceded 5 goals already by any means but it doesn't make sense.

Either back Moreno or buy a new one. I understand that the one we want might not be available, in which case don't sell the understudy/loan out the other choice.

Now we have few options and are hoping for a miracle from Gomez who has barely kicked a ball in a year.

I trust Klopp but I don't understand the thinking here.

Think the gameplan for Burnley was ruined in the first two minutes, which is a bigger concern as Klopp doesn't seem to have a plan B.

What kins of plan B are people looking for?

We put on a big quick forward in Origi to no avail.

My biggest concern is playing this false 9 against weaker teams. Just doesn't work for me. Might work against Arsenal but not against the Burnley and Watfords etc

Against the Burnleys and Watford of this world you need physical big powerful players. Fight fire with fire. Look to Man United they have focused on buying players who are all big.

I don't know where this idea that Burnley are a big strong team has come from.

They aren't.

Sometimes sh t results happen. We lost 2-0 to a Boro side who would go on to be relegated when we were arguably the best team in the league under Rafa (we beat Real Madrid the following week).

It seems crazy to say this because he's only been here a month but we missed Mané today. His directness scares defenders and we ran out of ideas in attack. Burnley to their credit defended very well and the early goal let them set up to hit us on the break all game.

Extremely worrying what we saw yesterday. I can only hope it was early season rustiness but in reality it stank of several performances we saw last season.

Five goals conceded already with only two games gone, unless we improve rapidly then we won't be challenging for Europe this year. Obviously left back looks a position that we could possibly improve with a week left but the problems run much deeper than that in my eyes.

I don't think Lovren and Klavan are bad players but still look very error prone and even Clyne has had a couple of shocking games defensively. Matip was a good buy on a free for cover but is the same, it's a lot of pressure on Gomez's shoulders when he returns, while
we look extremely light in cover at both full back positions.

Mignolet is conceding a goal from every shot on target, now whether or not he's had a chance to save any of the goals is another question. Looking back it would probably be harsh to say he should definitely have saved X goal but I think he should have done a lot better with at least Ox's goal last weekend and may well have got to Vokes' yesterday. That's the thing though, the De Gea's and Lloris's regularly make saves you wouldn't expect them too, even most other keepers in the league make them now and then. We need more from him.

Add in the glaringly obvious lack of a quality midfielder to give the centre backs a bit of protection and our attacking players regularly conceding possession in dangerous positions, as well as a long-running vulnerability from set pieces, is it any wonder we are conceding so many?

The smaller teams go into matches against us fancying their chances of getting at our defence and our players know that too.

Hopefully it's just a bit an overreaction at an early stage but I said at the start of the summer the priority should be buying a left back and a defensive midfielder, and it doesn't look to me that we have addressed either position.

We look good going forward, obviously every game they won't click like yesterday, and when that happens we need to be organised and stay in the game at 0-0 but it never happens as we are so crap as a team defensively.

Probably too late to bring in anyone now so it's going to have to be these players that improve, time for Klopp to earn his dough.

Vokes is a big physical player. In the middle they had also some hard tackling players.

We will be better in the upcoming games when Mane is back.

I'm wondering I'd Clyne has been effected by this sexx tape stuff as he doesn't look right.

Overall just s lack of quality and composure yesterday having given Burnley something to defend.

Cost me my acca to boot. Bad day.

Agree with you. Arsenal has already dropped 5 points but they will be there fighting for top 4.

This type of results can happen to every team in the league. We dominated but we're set up poorly in attack to take on a packed and organised defence.

Our incredible tough start to the season means that after the Arsenal match, this was a dire result.

Still, no need to panic as its only the second game of a long season.

We are too easy to score against. The top teams when they don't play well in attack would end up drawing that game 0-0, maybe nick a 1-0 win. But with us, defensively we are all over the place. It's like we need to score 3+ goals just to maybe get a draw or win. Yes it only game number two but already we've let in 5 goals and have Spurs, Leicester and Chelsea next. We will have the worst defence in the league come the end of September.
