I think Gini will become a solid player for us. Its been two games, he might need time to settle but I am thinking Can/Gini could be a good pairing given time. Let's see what Klopp is trying to do first.

But we have been playing a 433...sort of.
Lallana's been playing deeper almost alongside Hendo & Wij.

No wonder it didnt work then

Lallana is too soft to be a central midfielder in the premier league. He's not exactly a battler.
I'd go Hendo/Can/Wijnaldum for now until we see what Grujic is made of. Hope to see him start tonight though.
Which is why i've been wondering if Hendo doesnt take Lallana's place once Can is back
Although i would prefer Hendo on the left of the 3 so that he can cover for Moreno & Coutinho.
Wij will also be better on the right with Clyne behind him and Mane tormenting everything ahead of him....he could pick up some good positions, like Lallana has been doing tbh(in an attacking sense)
I think that is what we will see given time.
It's been two games and people at different fitness levels.
Rome wasn't built in a day.
We need to give a bit of time to see what Klopp is working on.
Lallana has spoken in press about playing a bit deeper, so 4-3-3 has definitely been the plan so far. You can argue it hasn't worked, but you can also argue we are missing arguably the most important component in Can.
Most of our decentish chances in the Burnley box fell to Lallana.
Wijnaldum is a very good player but he should never, ever play in a midfield two with Henderson again, even Burnley were able to show it up for the lack of balance.

Yeah there has to be variety baout it.
1. milner on left plus coutinho... theres no width. just none so you are playing very narrow with this set up.
2. No set piece. nobody has faith in anyone getting on the end of anything and with half going short its clear nobody has any faith in a good delivery either. this throws away a prime source of goals when games are tight. Leicester won the title based on this getting them through rough patch.
3. after that..... if you don't seek to turn sides sitting deep you won't get goals.
4. where was the plan on pitch last week? Klopp could not have sent them out to individually lash stupid shots from places nobody should score from.. 26 shots 5 on target. It just suggests they dropped the heads.
The early goal dismantled any plan that we had.

"What exactly would have been the plan anyway?"
I dont know but not conceding that early on surely was part of it. Then the players panic and we get the performance we got served. Its happened numerous times before and will continue to happen until these players sort their heads out.
We need to get better at our plan A first

Swansea need a CB having sold Williams and they owe us a favour after we took Rodgers and Allen off them for silly money.
Yeah we've got a few of those
