Sakho is injured ±15 games a season. Then he takes around 5 games to get into form.

If we can get someone of similar quality to play more games than him it means more consistency for us which im not against. Klavan looks alright, Matip is still to be decided and Lucas looked ok there in previous games.

It kinda makes sense if Matip works out and plays next to Klavan. It doesnt make sense if you're persisting with Lovren at the back.

Wasn't that the same with Sturridge?

Yeah and we've scored goals since Klopp came into the club without Sturridge in the team.

Don't forget we have Gomez too, if he recovers. That would leave us with 5 CBs plus Lucas if Sakho stayed.

Im not sure if Wijnaldum is an upgrade on Allen let alone worth almost double in transfer value

Wijnaldum will score more league goals this season than Allen. Heck, he may even score more this season than Allen managed for us in 4.

I mean if klopp doesnt want sakho thats fine, but buy a new cb, dont make lucas his replacement

Don't have a problem with Sakho leaving.

When good he is very good, but he's been part of the problem of the inconsistency of our defence.

I suppose the issue is the other parts of the problem are still here/not been addressed .. not like it was all sakhos fault

Keeper has been addressed. We have signed two other centre halves.

Clyne was consistent.

Only issue is left back, and we have tried on that.

Don't see anyone blaming Sakho only.

I don't agree it's only injury, and injury can't be ignored anyway even if it was only injury.

I'm sure Klopp wants to pick a fairly regular back 5, and Sakho is not so special a player (Sturridge), that constant injury absences can be ignored to some degree.

My posting history shows I like Sakho and think he's a top player 'on his day'. I can see why we might get rid though.

He's erratic and that's not all injury related IMO.

my main Gripe is playing players out of position, I just don't understand it.

My only issue with Sakho leaving is that we have not replaced him with better quality. Klaven look's like a 5man player in these inflated prices. Matip is untested and Lovren is playing like he's thinking about the Croation bob the builder banging his wife.
