Theres a clear push to his lower back too tbf, Salah just doesnt get given sheit simple as.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
stats back it up aswell, he takes over twice as many minutes to get a foul awarded compared to the majority of other forwards

you'll see hes not on the first chart, they had to extend it so he fits in on the 2nd chart

Impossible, the global ref conspiracy is against arsenal
So a quarter almost into the season, what's everyone's thoughts on Slot and his team?
I know I didn't predict this.. I did think that we needed to be taken more seriously than what so called pundits and journalists had us down for at the start though, but not this

Really can't complain can we? Best ever start to a season and hardly conceding any goals. It looks like we're prioritising controlling the game and doing just what we need to do, over trying to score again and again, which may not be as entertaining but could benefit us later in the season. I do like the football we're playing too though.
Not sure if anybody else feels this way but we are a little City-esque at the moment. Prioritising getting the job done over style and it’s working well.
I do think Arsenal could be a bridge too far but that’s just my natural pessimism.
I also feel like there are levels to our game and if we need to raise the tempo and go for it more then we can. We will need to raise the level against Arsenal for sure, and it will be interesting to see how they approach the game with all their injuries.
Milan game proved we can up the tempo and keep it going for a sustained period if we really need too.
Slots rotating and subbing players much more than Klopp did and the results are not being negatively affected. Looks like we may not burn out like we did often under Klopp.
Also not going for goal after goal and seeing out 1 - 0 wins is very impressive and builds confidence so that we don't need 3/4 goals for a win.
Its looking good so far

Oh, we really can - just scroll back a few pages! We are world class complainers.
That said, surely this start has exceeded all but the most optimistic of expectations. We're tracking pretty well against our average title winning performance, the 8 games are showing the same points, better goal difference. And we blitzed the league that year.
Maintaining the standard is obviously the challenge but 'so far, so good' almost feels like faint praise.

I’m hoping it is a case of we do enough to get past what’s in front of us. That’s what I saw against Chelsea, as although I was quite impressed by them, I always felt we had a measure of control overall. There was more there if we needed it.
As for Arsenal, I think they’ll go full on park the bus and plenty of anti football tactics. I think they would take a draw now under the circumstances.
Interesting that Slot subs off and rotates his wide men and full backs. He is asking Salah to track back much more than he used to so they are all working hard and he is giving them the rests they need in game.
I am a bit more optimistic for the trip to the Emirates now. Still don't buy into the injury armageddon picture that Arteta and their fans love to paint, I bet most of them will be available for Sunday. Saliba is a big miss though so I'm hoping we can get some joy.
Couldn't ask for more from Slot really, I like our new solid style of play. The injuries are starting to amount up for us too though, and I am conscious we have a handful of players who are playing 90 minutes every 3 days at the moment. Grav has been sensational but he is a shouldering an enormous workload already this season. It's going to be tough for that to be sustainable and not see a drop in performance from him and others at some point in the near future.
they dont even know what injury armageddon is

Isn't it always the case that a handful of players play every game, or almost every game?
I think that would be the only change I would like to see, using Endo a little more to protect Gravenberch too. He's playing a lot of games considering he wasn't starting every week last season and maybe even the one before
I still don’t get why Endo isn’t getting minutes. He’s really underrated by many. Give Grav a rest man.

Surely playing an average player for minutes here and there is better than having to start him every week because we’ve run our only “number 6” into the ground?
Wasn't Grav rested a few games back? Also, does Grav even start for Holland? International breaks are a rest for him whereas the likes of AMA have to play two games and circumnavigate the earth.
