The goalkeeping wasn't bad though

Mig had to come off his line, its simple goalkeeping and it nearly worked as Rose himself admitted he mishit it

Clyne was poor and gave the ball away alot too. His assist aside, he's had a poor start to the season

Both clyne and Matip went for the ball. It wasn't a knock down to him, just fortunate that it fell to him.

Rose first miscontrolled it, and then miss hit the shot. Reckon Mig came rushing out as he thought he had a chance to get to the ball.

Also, Mig made a brilliant save from the corner was it Vertonghen that got free to get the header in?

Palermo apparently offering Mario Balotelli £11,000 a week. He earns more than that in a day at Liverpool

I think there's signs showing that Klopp is going to stubbornly stick to his 'philosophy' of this false nine. That's ok when Cout et al are scoring their worldies, but not so good when they're missing the sitters that a proper striker would usually bury.

Agreed. What a save that was.

The goal was Clyne's fault. I just thought that Mig could have stayed on his line though. You rarely see goal keepers rushing out in that situation IMO.

I still can't believe FSG got fan-pressured into signing Balotelli.

The only reason you signed him was because you wanted a 'name', after Arsenal signed Sanchez & United signed Di Maria.

Goal was partly Milners fault, wasn't in a great position and was indecisive when dealing with Dier.

And Migs did the right thing in rushing Rose imo

Mane also holds some responsibility for not tracking roses run. He reacted so late, almost as if he never realize rose had ambled past him.

It was a collectively poor goal to concede

Mig had absolutely no right to save the header from Alderweirelds header from the corner to be fair, he
bailed the defence out big time.

Unfortunately the defence were unable to bail him out for the goal, and it would be harsh to say he should have saved it too. It was bad defending all round. Simple long ball forward that shouldn't have been so easy for Dier to bring down, the cross should have been stopped, it should have been cleared, Rose was completely free.

Don't like Mignolet at all but he wasn't the reason we conceded yesterday, even though some on here like to blame him for everything.

And don't forget it was a mishit shot. If Rose had connected properly then Mig would probably have been in exactly the right position to make the save. You cannot blame him for not being positioned to save a mishit.

I blame Coutinho for trying to be cute with his finish instead of blasting it.
