I reckon the club were happy to wait for the right team to surface on the Sakho loan that would be seen as the biggest punishment of all.
Stoke....nah, too close to home.
WBA....better, but might enjoy the ultra defensive style
Sunderland! Bingo! Have fun in the grim northeast with Moyes and a relegation battle
it's got to point to us making another signing!
an injury or 2 and we're PROPER facked!

Even the foreign market has become crazy now.
It's really inflated everywhere this summer.
£20m is the new £10m.
I think the Pogba/Higuain deals have probably pushed prices up in Italy.
Ryan Mason for £13m, another eyebrow raiser
Burke has gone from Forest to Leipzig for £13m.
That's mental.
will splashed £11m up front rising to £15m for a striker who scored 19 goals in the championship for Bristol city last season today!
Jonas Hector looks good for £22m now!
Jonathan Kodija
never heard of him!
Leipzig owned by Red Bull. Have big funds to spend.
Burke is apparently the new Bale, if true then that £13m could prove very cheap and he will back in the PL for £50m in a year or two.
Mason for £13m though. Facking 'ell.
Spearing must be worth £10m today.
If Burke has a bit of success over there, they'll make a big profit.

Mason for £13m is ridiculous. How much did we get for Allen?
About the same I think.
Allen only had a year on his contract though.
Think we would have got £20-25m if Allen had 3+ years left.
Chelsea have bid £32m to resign David Luiz?
This is getting weird now!
Chelsea getting desperate for a centre half.
Have been rejected for several others this summer.
