We won't see Mane until Spurs on 11th Feb.

Chance of Hull game but not likely.

Senegal looking like one of the favourites.

Still, 5 games to go without him and next 4 are all at Anfield.

The home games are when we could really do with him

Not sure I agree TBH.

His pace is a massive counter threat away from home.

At home teams usually defend deep and raw speed isn't as effective.

Coutinho and Lallana are the keys at Anfield, and both are now fit.

Aye Senegal are looking good for a deep run in the competition now. Pretty much guaranteed top of their group.

That lines up a quarter against the runners up in group A. That looks like Gabon, Burkino or Guinnea. They should manage to get through that.

Then its the semis and they are guaranteed to be in the final or the 3rd/4th playoff. So it looks like he's there for the duration.

A few days rest then back at it with spurs

Because teams sit so deep at Anfield, I think the fact that he's able to run at players, and into the area, is a real asset.

He's scored similar amounts home and away but ultimately you just want your best players on the pitch.

There is a chance we'll have at least 8 of them so we should be seeing off Swansea

Hopefully Clyne is back for Saturday because however much you feel about how much we miss him in the home games we definitely lack width.

TAA is decent but lacks the real quality that Clyne provides on those overlapping runs.

Swansea are so bad at the back it's tough to see us not winning this game at home.

They have only kept 3 clean sheets, Burnley on day 1, Watford and Sunderland. 22 goals conceded in 8 games against the top 6, with only 1pt gained in the 2-2 draw at home to Chelsea.

It's football and anything can happen, but we should win.

Why has our board turned into people creating articles about some Spurs fan?

We NEED Lallana in central midfield for those home games.

I agree. He's been much less effective these last few games when he's been out wide as part of the front 3.

If Clyne and Matip are available then that's the best we've got.

Failing them being ready then Klavan & TAA will be good options!

I'd actually start Studge but from the right and allow him freedom to roam depending on Firmino's movement.

I'd go with KLS team.

I wouldn't be averse to playing a diamond though with two up front because I think Swansea's strength is the centre of midfield, and their weakness is the centre of the defence which is utter bilge.

I don't think it will be as easy as we think. They have a new manager so their players will be up for it. I wish Bradley was still in charge haha.

Lallana in midfield and lets get Firmino playing up top. Defenders hate him playing up front as he roams all over the place and is wasted on the wings.

We need to stick to plan A which Lallana in midfield and Firmino as this central false 9.

Plan A also consist of Sturridge on the bench.

Plan also consists of Mane & Matip being on the field

We need to find the best player who can occupy the vacant Mane. That's not Sturridge so Klopp will probably bring in Can and move Lallana forward.

I dont understand how one of the best players in our squad isnt sufficient, in your eyes, to accomodate for the other one of the best players in our squad but you want to move one of our other best players in our squad who's been in a red hot form in one position to the position of our other one of the best players in our squad position thus reducing the quality of 2 positions when we could only reduce the quality in one position.

Even if Klopp does move Lallana forward, it doesnt make it the right choice.

Sturridge 2 goals and 2 assists in 487 mins of PL football.

Origi 4 goals and 2 assists in 686 mins.

Not a lot between them really.

Sturridge doesn't usually start two games in 4 days though, so it's very unlikely he will start IMO.
