I'm aware of the fact that him being right-footed means he's not a LCB. We already have Sakho and Agger for that role. What we need is a authoritative RCB to replace the calamitous liability that is Skrtel.

I have no evidence to refute your opnion that he's played LCB 'for the majority of his career', but I highly doubt it.
Some players are played out of position through necessity rather than natural aptitude. i.e - Flanagan.

Just because we have one doesnt mean he suddenly has become more comfortable on the right side of defence...anyway im not saying he could never play ther, just he has mainly played lcb, not much else tp say on the matter

The fact that he's comfortable on either side of defence is another huge plus for me. IMO he'd be a very astute signing and I'd play him at RCB.

I think Barca realised that their team have peaked but imo are sacrificing the wrong players for their rebuild.

Xavi needs to play less or maybe play Iniesta in his position and allow Rafinha to get some games in Iniesta's current position.
