Hazard only signed for Chelsea because of the big name Di Matteo apparently.

Yeah that's been said hasn't it?
You have turned into the Liverpool TCP lately with the pathetic 1 liners.
Bollox righteous you fúcking turn coat. Full of excuses in Feb weren't you. Where are your mitigating circumstances now?

As if things weren't bad enough already without all of us turning on each other. We need to stick together and wallow in our misery as a team

I don't even know what that means.
Time of the month?

Really? You don't know what that means?
It means you were busy telling rival fans about all the problems BR faced not so long ago and now..... well you're not are you.
To talk of one liners and then put "time of the month" is as poorly thought out as it us misogynistic.

To be fair a lot has happened since the time R1 said that. A wise man changes his mind every now and then, a fool? Never.

I always stick up for our manager when rival fans want to have a go because they are only here to WUM.
Doesn't mean I can't share my own criticisms of him.
The last 2 months have been god awful and the first 5 months were god awful.
We perked up for 2 months, it looked like we had turned a corner and even if we didn't get 4th I expected us to finish the season reasonably well and reach the cup final (probably to lose to Arsenal).
It turned out we had turned another corner into a brick wall.
Rodgers isn't solely to blame, but he isn't the second coming of Shankly fighting heroically against a tyrannical board who won't let him play either.
Has a lot happened? Same squad, same board, same injuries, same league position.
How the board aren't getting more greif I don't know.

And that's fair enough but mentioning every manager who has won more is pointless. We've had loads of managers the past twenty years and little changes apart from the emergence of City. Chelsea and even Spurs and Arsenal to an extent.
Why would the board be getting grief?
Supported the manager with heap loads of cash last summer, offering young players big contracts, work started on stadium expansion. I fail to see what else they can do.
They can't control on field issues. The Buck (pardon the pun) stops with the manager here, the way it is.
As for transfers don't tell me these players were signed against the managers will, refuse to believe he didn't have at least a say in all of them.

Exactly. We were hoping for improvement, not regression or stagnation.
Why would the board be getting grief?
----------------------
Higher ticket prices, higher sponsorship, higher kit deals, higher tv money, lower wages - £53m net spend in two seasons better by three of the four clubs above us.
The pitch.
The facilities.
The hiring and firing of staff with alarming regularity.
Losing our top scorer and probably the second as well.
Losing out on players repeatedly.
I don't get the transfers argument. Just look at our current squad and then look at some of the teams that have Ragdolled us this season? Villa, Palace, Hull, Stoke, they all have inferior squads to what we have so going by that logic it doesn't matter because Rodgers had a superior squad but still got steamrollered by allegedly inferior managers who had inferior teams.
And we came above all if them.
City, Arsenal and United have long lists of poor results against lower sides as well.
People weren't calling it one of the worst leagues in recent memory for no reason.
Only Chelsea really came through somewhat unscathed.

Very true! Man U and city were best of a bad bunch making it into the top 4, whilst arsenal are becoming stronger (for now)
We haven't had loads of managers the last 20 years.
Liverpool is about as good as it gets for giving managers a chance.
Obviously a couple of clubs have had major long term incumbents but most clubs of our size change manager a lot more often than we do.
Even in the last decade we have only had 4 managers, at a time of a lot of off the pitch turmoil.
Any manager in Europe is lucky to get a 3 year crack at a job.
