Win the league cup and he'll be the most successful manager in recent memory.

And they're still on course for a top4 finish...although still need to find out the extent of the Kane injury.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s not even close to being the true picture though, is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
10-20 years from now it's probably only Spurs fans that will talk about the picture to be honest.

I think the case with Mourinho is that when people start throwing mud, some it sticks and it can take a while to shake off. He's been written off by a section of Spurs fans from the minute he walked in due to his style of play so winning them round can be tricky.

But, as said, if he wins a trophy and achieves a respectable finish in the PL, then he'd had a good season.

When the average person looks back they're only going to look at the records. Hardly anyone outside of Spurs will care about the picture at the time.

If Jose wins something (BIG IF) he's in the record books...something Poch never did.

The league cup final should be good. City looking better than ever at the moment. Jose has a great record in finals.

Obviously don't know if that will be the case in April but if Spurs win that they'll certainly have deserved it.

Is Mustafi really happening

Edwards biggest test...that's if we are remotely serious about bringing someone in.

Would be funny if we sign Mustafi and win the CL. The banter with the Arsenal fans

Trust me when I say this. If the answer is ever Mustafi, change the question.

I thought people might be a bit happier today...

Most of my friends are Arsenal fans and they've basically had a laugh at the prospect of us signing Mustafi but all accepted he can be proper quality on his day, but will cause a fack up leading to a goal every few games

At the end of the day we just need somebody competent who can sit in defence game after game allowing our midfielders back into their best positions (aside of Fabinho).

Our midfield do a lot of the defensive work, and the vast majority of the pressing, if he can read long punts then he will do a job for us.

He certainly won't be as exposed as during his time at arsenal.

Exactly my thoughts he is doing a lot less work with us than he does with the dross Arsenal have in front of him.

This spursy/dr tottenham nonsense is like self-fulfilling prophecy of doom by their own fans.

Sorry I just don't get it

Managed to watch the game late last night. Man, Hendo is just magnificent.

Love our captain

Jurgen Klopp says he hopes Joel Matip injury not that serious. Scans today. Fabinho out for West Ham.

Take Joe Gomez for example. He's not actually that brilliant of a defender, but he has less work to do really.

The problem I have with Mustafi is he seems like 70% of what Lovren was, which will be an issue.

Put lovren in that arsenal team and he might look like 70% of a Mustafi.. apples and oranges

No Fab against West Ham is a blow. Antonio is already a handful in the air but they have Soucek and Rice both 6ft3 plus to go along with Ogboma and Dawson. Set pieces are going to be tricky.

I expect Phililip and Hendo at the back which is about it height wise in our team.
