Thiago finally settles in and he benches him for our biggest match of the season a few days ago and today. I think the players have been far more to blame than Klopp for the record breaking horrific 3 months of form, but Klopp is not without blame, some outrageous decisions sometimes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The theory behind starting Keita against RM was fine, it just didn’t work out, it happens. I’m guessing Thiago didn’t start today with the second leg in mind. I’m pretty sure he’ll be starting that one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thiago and Mane will definitely start.
Midfield trio of Fabinho, Thiago and Milner I think.

Guinness is either horrendous here or pretty good. There’s a lot of decent pints being poured, but a lot of sloppy drinks too. Every bar has it, but few take good care of it
But there’s nothing in the world that can top a pint back home. The he only reason human males still grow facial hair is to increase their enjoyment of a pint
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where is Guinness made over there?
We used to get Nigerian stuff in the UK but it's now all Irish.
Saying all this, I've missed a pint of Guinness so badly I had a can last night
Still trying to work out how the Bobby goal was offside

Couldn’t see it either. They seemed to be focusing solely on whether the defender had touched the ball and based the decision on the fact he hadn’t. Very poor.
I’d forgotten about the absolutely ridiculous offside goal we had ruled out at Villa Park last season.Same opposition, same player scoring. It really is just a disgrace to be honest.

The defender touched it anyway you can see a faint but distinct change in the flight of the ball.
They then spent about 3 minutes with lines reviewing whether Jota was offside.
They look for reasons to rule goals out it's an absolute joke. Should be on a review basis, one review per team.
You'd never see managers use it on such marginal calls.
Pretty sure they drew the lines first which showed Jota onside, as he was. Unsatisfactory outcome so again draw the lines in a different, more crooked way to change the decision.
Again, identical process with Firmino’s at Villa Park was last season
I genuinely give up, to be honest.

You can’t tell anything from that angle tbf.
It's not going well is it the old VAR.
My hope is that it devalues the product so that'll give them the impetus to make some decent changes.
Trouble is some of the decisions in places like Spain look even worse. Not sure what the answer is.
I think they should stop using stills for offside reviews. Just allow slow motions. If you can't tell on a slow motion then advantage to the attacker. That avoids the silly mm calls and all the problems that stills bring (frame rates, thickness of those blue lines etc)
Meanwhile over at Burnley, an attacker has just been kicked in the face in the penalty area. No penalty awarded.
Not too mention Leicester losing
could have done with a draw..

Bad result in the short term but definitely a good long in the context of the season. Leicester being firmly dragged back into the top 4 fight now and as I mentioned yesterday their last 3 fixtures look horrible. Can definitely see them collapsing again.
Have to say West Ham have got a great chance of it making it now. Their fixtures are very kind.
West Ham will drop points against the weaker teams.

What's that based on?
I've watched three of their last four games and they look a solid unit to me with goals in the side and different types at that.
