villa will have been reminded how vulnerable we are to balls over the top (doubt theyd have forgotten anyway)

Villa will come to play and not put in a low block plus unlikely Grealish will be fit.

They'll definitely play the same tactics as the home game.

Hmmm. I'm not sure about that. They have sat deep plenty of times this season including against us at Villa Park.

They will defo sit deep. Most teams do but they won't have a 1-11 of hard working players. Players like El-Gazi, Trez, Traore are not great at tracking back but they will test our back 4 with the pace of Watkins.

Think I might have found Titty there. Elite humour.

Good result for Chelsea last night and for us.

If we go out we need Chelsea playing as much footy as possible late in the season.

They also have a lot tougher run in than us so they should defo be our target for a top 4 place.

I did something that's been bugging me.

I placed a bet on us to lose today

I mean tomorrow

We ain't losing tomorrow so money wasted

It's my outsider's bet. We all do it. It's not my serious bets.

Put a R20 on Wolves, Leeds & Villa.

Got a worrying feeling that Klopp might put Fab back in defence again

What's the latest with Hendo?

Just checked. He had surgery

Guess that's him out for the season.

Madrid knew we would come pressing which was why they played the long pass which lead to 2 goals. It's nothing Modric, Kroos and Casimero have seen before and they are good enough to negate it which was why Thiago needed to start so we had something different. It was a bad call from Klopp.

Casemiro was a big difference pressing forward from a deep position, allowing both Kroos and Modric to pick those passes, especially where TAA was caught in two minds, whether to stay narrow and be tight to Vinicius or go wide to deal with Mendy, he didn't get enough help down that side on the night personally.

In addition Benzema also spent a lot of time on the left too. They really packed our right side knowing this was our weak link.

That's where the success has been playing both Wijnaldum and Henderson in midfield alongside Fabinho. Henderson is usually the one who supports TAA down that side and will often drop into full back positions, particularly during the build up phase.

Thiago would have been better than Keita as Keita just doesn't offer that protection nearly well enough like the others do.

Keita was a disaster against Villa when we got pumped and he repeated the dose against Madrid. Both games our right side was bombarded. Trent is more secure when we have Jones playing there. I feel for Trent cos he does get thrown under the bus.

Hopefully next season having an athletic player like Konate will help him.
