Thiago being dropped for Keita is bizarre.

posted on 6/4/21

just rotation innit

posted on 6/4/21

Thiago would have been pumped for this game with ex Barca links and being put on the bench for Spain recently

posted on 6/4/21

Only makes sense to me if he's picked up a minor knock and Keita would give us more energy

posted on 6/4/21

Yeah I don't really get benching Thiago tonight frankly

Would rather we benched Gini.

Keita is more likely to score than Thiago, maybe Klopp has seen an overload opportunity in their midfield or sommat.

Looks like we're going with the high press and energy.

Yes and this is the type of game it suits. Will be interesting if Madrid change their game.

Vazquez as a RB is the Madrid weak link. He can't defend and adding Keita to play left midfield to press makes sense.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois, Vazquez, Militao, Nacho, Mendy, Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Asensio, Vinicius, Benzema.

Not exactly bags of pace there. We can beat these.

Can only imagine Klopp wants a faster pace game with is why he’s gone with Keita. Not watched them this season so no idea if that’s what they have struggled with this season.

I think Kroos and Modric may struggle without the ball so if we pass it well that's where we get at them. Our counter press will have to absolutely bang on it though.

Gotta say this is probably the most hyped I've been about a football match in well over a year.

It's feels good.

That has to be Keitas last match for us. Klopp takes a giant gamble trusting him and what does he do he gifts Madrid midfielders the freedom of the pitch. Klopp got it wrong today, we finally had a settled squad, or as settled as you can get with our injuries and he just had to tinker. Yes in theory Keita would be a good tactic as he can dribble through the midfield, yet he got so caught up in theory he forgot reality: Keita is a weak, meek pussay since moving to England, so of course their midfield dominates.

3 weeks later we will hear how this team needs Keita. When we were going to through our very bad form he was made out as the saviour

What a poor, poor signing Keita has been.

Bad decision from Klopp to pick him but an embarrassing performance nevertheless. Crazy to think not long ago he was one of Bundesligas best players.

It’s time to go.

Not all Keita fault yesterday. Casimero showed Fab who the DM daddy is yesterday and Wij was just as bad as Keita if not worse. Even his reliable 5 yard pass was under or over hit.

Wij was woeful too. A real captains performance

posted on 7/4/21

Making a player who is leaving us captain is a odd choice but not sure who else is suitable. Maybe Robbo but definitely not Trent.

Wijnaldum is a poor passer of the ball. There was no closing down from Keita and Wijnaldum which exposed Phillips.

Shame the players didn't share this really.

Let's hope Klopp doesn't revert back to playing Fab at the back after one bad perfect which was more down to the midfield.
