Although to be fair I find the whole interview thing useless. You essentially hire the person who's great at talking a good game, whereas somebody a bit more introverted or nervous at interviews could be the better candidate.

In terms of Real tonight, they're a weird team. Nothing like they used to be in terms of world class individuals that can win any game, but they now have a fairly astute system and know how to win, especially in this comp.
I don't think they'd be too upset with a 0-0 and fancy their chances of getting an away goal making it tough.

I had a guy in my team who was exactly the same. I always used to call team meetings and put him on the spot in front of about 10 people... He soon learnt that every time I knew he'd smoked at lunch I was going to sketch him out as much as possible. Harsh, but better than someone from HR our EVP smelling it on him in the lift etc.

Place I worked many years ago, some bloke had to be spoken to because he kept carving flower heads from carrots and leaving them on girls desks. In fairness to him, the carvings were very good but I think it creeped out pretty much every recipient.

Nacho and Militao are the backups. On paper arguably better than Phillips and Kabak but ours are on form.

I did a labour relations course a couple of months back and the stories you hear are unbelievable.
Glad I made enough money not to work anymore and to face guys like TOOR and GT to make your life miserable at work.
Regarding Madrid they will have a slower back four without Varane. Play the ball behind their defence for Salah and Mane to run. Nacho is very slow and we need to target him as the weak link.

I actually don't think Trent goes to the Euros. Which is an absolute farce but he's not the media golden boy he once was so Southgate won't pick him.

I find it really weird how people have turned against him. He got us to a world cup semi in his first tournament...people said that it was an easy run but we went out to Iceland previously. Colombia was never a given, neither was Sweden. He did that with a squad that had Welbeck, RLC, Lingard... a pretty average group all round. He united a team and gave the whole national team a makeover in the eyes of the public.
He then won a nations cup group with Spain and Croatia in it finishing third in the highest groupings. He is also the first manager that will have us going into a tournament with 2 or 3 different formations under his belt and ready to use. The squad we have now is better, and the pressure will be on him to succeed but realistically, our draw means that it is very difficult to get beyond the last 16 with Portugal, France or Germany waiting.
I don't think he is an outstanding manager, but he has done everything asked and when you consider how the national team was viewed when he took over, he has done a fair job so far.

I feel the opposite, we had a Bye to that semi-final essentially and played some of the worst football ive seen in an england shirt, with probably one of the best crops of talent.
He uses dinosaur tactics and fails to appreciate what makes each player good for their respective clubs
Ive stopped watching England actually.. for the first time ever i just cannot be bothered with watching.
The Redknapp tax fraud case was the worst thing to happen to the England team, He had rodgers lined up as his assistant on a part time basis and both of them favoured attractive attacking football, Facking Hodgson then Southgate.. christ

I had a guy in my team who was exactly the same. I always used to call team meetings and put him on the spot in front of about 10 people... He soon learnt that every time I knew he'd smoked at lunch I was going to sketch him out as much as possible. Harsh, but better than someone from HR our EVP smelling it on him in the lift etc.

In terms of Real tonight, they're a weird team. Nothing like they used to be in terms of world class individuals that can win any game, but they now have a fairly astute system and know how to win, especially in this comp.
I don't think they'd be too upset with a 0-0 and fancy their chances of getting an away goal making it tough.

I'm feeling a lot happier about facing them without their first choice CBs. Although even as I was typing that I realised I have absolutely no idea who the back-up is and whether they're any good

Although to be fair I find the whole interview thing useless. You essentially hire the person who's great at talking a good game, whereas somebody a bit more introverted or nervous at interviews could be the better candidate.

You and me both. I got one guy and nicknamed him Sloth. He actually looked like one and moved like one. Everytime I went over to show him how to do something he started clicking random crap, changing tabs etc. Infuriating. He got the boot after a month. Next guy was applying for jobs with his feet on the desk when I was away to meetings. The guys got fed up and told me he only worked when I was there. The one after that started off great but then was having mental breakdowns and left. The current guy that replaced him again started off well but comes back from lunch smelling of green. That wouldn't bother me so much only he becomes unresponsive sometimes. So I had a word with him. We'll see how that goes.

Place I worked many years ago, some bloke had to be spoken to because he kept carving flower heads from carrots and leaving them on girls desks. In fairness to him, the carvings were very good but I think it creeped out pretty much every recipient.

Nacho and Militao are the backups. On paper arguably better than Phillips and Kabak but ours are on form.

Glad I made enough money not to work anymore and to face guys like TOOR and GT to make your life miserable at work.
Regarding Madrid they will have a slower back four without Varane. Play the ball behind their defence for Salah and Mane to run. Nacho is very slow and we need to target him as the weak link.

I actually don't think Trent goes to the Euros. Which is an absolute farce but he's not the media golden boy he once was so Southgate won't pick him.

I find it really weird how people have turned against him. He got us to a world cup semi in his first tournament...people said that it was an easy run but we went out to Iceland previously. Colombia was never a given, neither was Sweden. He did that with a squad that had Welbeck, RLC, Lingard... a pretty average group all round. He united a team and gave the whole national team a makeover in the eyes of the public.
He then won a nations cup group with Spain and Croatia in it finishing third in the highest groupings. He is also the first manager that will have us going into a tournament with 2 or 3 different formations under his belt and ready to use. The squad we have now is better, and the pressure will be on him to succeed but realistically, our draw means that it is very difficult to get beyond the last 16 with Portugal, France or Germany waiting.
I don't think he is an outstanding manager, but he has done everything asked and when you consider how the national team was viewed when he took over, he has done a fair job so far.

I feel the opposite, we had a Bye to that semi-final essentially and played some of the worst football ive seen in an england shirt, with probably one of the best crops of talent.
He uses dinosaur tactics and fails to appreciate what makes each player good for their respective clubs
Ive stopped watching England actually.. for the first time ever i just cannot be bothered with watching.
The Redknapp tax fraud case was the worst thing to happen to the England team, He had rodgers lined up as his assistant on a part time basis and both of them favoured attractive attacking football, Facking Hodgson then Southgate.. christ
