Domestic football are having a four day boycott of social media to combat online abuse and discrimination. Good idea, would have liked them to have done it for longer but hopefully this will force the media platforms to take more action to combat the trolls and improve the policing of their platforms, which at the moment is pretty farcical.

I guess so, Jota has been quite good in front of goal from what i've seen though. Not sure how he's done over the past couple weeks though.
Left field suggestion, but if we are looking for a more natural centre forward then I wouldn't be against giving Lacazette a shot. I don't think Arsenal have played to his strengths all that often, and when they have he's done okay. With better players around him and more chances i think he could do well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lacazette misses alot of sitters.
Our problem is that Mane was clinical last season but has completely lost it this season but the even more critical point is that Firmino is still considered a forward when let's be honest he's an embarrassment to that job title.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mane hasn’t been good this season but i still have a lot of time for him, he isn’t the only one to be poor for us this season.
Firmino on the other hand has been poor for 3 seasons now imo, he either needs to be dropped in as an attacking mid - but I’d worry that unbalances us in midfield, or he needs to be sold.
Bobby’s pretty much done as a forward imo. His liability far outweighs his benefit to the team. If we can find a way to use him a little deeper, behind the forward line then maybe he still has a place in the squad.
Mane is just shot to pieces atm, he has zero confidence. But his movement is still there, he’s still getting into great positions, and I have hope that after a summer break he’ll come back to somewhere near his best next season. No way is he finished yet, as some very short sighted people have suggested.
We need some serious strengthening in certain areas, I doubt we have the funds to replace someone like Mane, when other areas are far more urgent.
Even Bobby’s passing is off, gave the ball away a lot yesterday, and couldn’t place the ball into Salah / Manes path. If he can’t play to his team mates strengths anymore it means he’s a detriment to the team. How many assists does he get?

A lot less than he used to certainly. All areas of his game have regressed considerably sadly. Kurt Zouma has scored as many goals as Firmino this season and he’s a centre back.
Imagine Robbie Fowler at his peak in this team. Would score a stupid amount of goals.

How many flicks and no looks play has Zouma done though?
Those old fashioned strikers would only play for Klopp if they could link the play and were pressing monsters.
Firmino played behind the front three but our shadow pressing from the centre area was non existent yesterday.
Madrid away was the same when Firmino didnt play and their defenders could pass the ball into midfield with no pressure at all.
We need a finisher who can do all the things Firmino does.
Still have the seemingly perennial issue of lack of goals from midfield too.
Wij has 2 (and leaving), Henderson 1, Thiago/Ox/Keita/Shaq/Milner/Fabinho all on 0
Compare that to most teams midfield statsand it’s well below par. We pose virtually no threat at set pieces without Virg/Matip in the side either.
At the end of the day it’s the forwards job to get the goals but it doesn’t help relieve the pressure when they get absolutely no help from the rest of the team.
Firmino still has a role, he presses well and links the play, you need to look at the whole package tbh, goals, assists, key passes and interceptions/tackles.
And there's no metric to measure how his pressing leads to opportunities, mane with confidence would have had a hatty yesterday, given that Jota mane and Salah can, and do all play across the front line, I'd be happy to just bring in someone like Raphina or even Saint Maxim to push them a little next season. Even Traore might be a shout while his stock is low.. he's created so many chances for that wolves squad it's not his fault they ain't converting, certainly his physicality is a better way to change a game than a like for like sub

So basically you’re saying not to change anything. The ‘whole package’ of Firmino no longer brings enough to the team, we need to replace him with something different. We need to evolve again and work out how we can fit in a striker that maybe doesn’t have the all round game of Bobby, but can actually score regular goals. I’ve said it before that far too often we’ve relied on ‘world class’ goals to win games whilst missing a hatful of regulation chances. It’s now caught up with us and we need to change.

Not at all, yesterday we played with 4 forwards that in itself was working and is a change we should further explore. And I don't think Mane is done... I think he will be back next season to his best, he just needs a couple of goals.
But also to do so we need to bring in at least 1 other competitor, of a high enough quality that there is an ACTUAL chance players will be displaced.

Agree with this. Jones could be someone who can be moulded into a goal scoring midfielder but we need more from others.
Set pieces is another aspect we miss Virj. He might not win every header but the defence focus is all on him which leaves space for the shorter guys and last season we were top or almost with set piece goals.
