Is it not meant to be significantly more as it only covers the first couple of months of the pandemic?

The club also saw a big increase in external losses, which rose by nearly 300% I believe, however most of that is reported to have been paid off.

It should say increase not rose as well. No idea what a flower has to do with a clubs finances but anyway.

I wonder what it means for the club in the long-term then.

They sold £100m of the club to cover it didn't they? Something like that.

I feel like the issue the club would have signing somebody like Daka or Malen is, given their age, they could end up in a similar boat to Minamino where it will take them time to adapt to the pace and physicality of the PL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Players need pace and good close control if they want to make it in the PL. Salah, Mane and Jota have all those attributes. Werner finishing is rubbish but he creates enough chances with his movement and pace.

Manageable losses for a big club. Does not excuse the decisions they made in Jan in leaving it until Feb 1st to get a defender. It has cost them more money now because we won't be in the CL.

Absolutely apart from sign two players

Sometimes patience is required with players, look at iheanacho and stones this season as examples. If players like Keita and Minamino stay i still have hope theyll finally show their worth with us and fulfil their potential, of which both have a lot of.

I tell you what if money and limits on the amount of foreigners in the squad didnt exist he might nearly, have a point.

But they do. so he's talking utter sh!t as usual.

Every clubs gonna record losses, fact we can afford it more than most should work in our favour. our stock has risen 88% over the last 2 seasons which is probably close to a 2 billion inc, but thats ok wage bills increased 20% theyre on the brink.

88% of 2bn+ btw vs 20% inc of 120m

Kabak was available throughout Jan including the barren period when Klopp was playing Hendo and Fab in defence. Getting Kabak early Jan would have cost a little more money but we FSG were not willing to bail out Klopp.

Europa and Covid perfect excuse to not spend as much again this summer.

How do you know Kabak was available throughout all of January? Do you have a tap in to Schalke's transfer business?

dont agree with that, we did good business over the summer minus replacing Lovren, which imo wasnt a big deal id rather have phillips. But yeah the fact he pref playing hendo and fab there says it all.

Every man and their dog could look at our cbs and see we had one reliably fit player there. Even Lovren only remained fit for 6+ consecutive games twice in his Liverpool career

Schalke in financial difficulties is common knowledge. We just didn't bother approaching them till deadline day because Matip was almost fit.

You can sign a 100 players if they are all Championship standard it's the equivalent of doing nothing. Davies was an oh sheit the fans are getting rowdy signing, do something for minimum spend.

So the one good thing they did is loan a youngster. I like Kabak and hope we sign him for future, but he is not ready to be first team yet, he would be 3rd or 4th in a fully fit squad. Signing one first team defender should be the absolute minimum you do for the manager who works wonders despite their ownership.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who would you have signed? Klopp literally said it without saying it. Nobody who would be deemed suitable for our long term planning was available at that point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Klopp regularly covers for the owners in public, he doesn't like showing disagreements in public.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That doesn't answer the question though.

Who would you have signed in January that was available?
