What I don't get with your opinion robbing is that you act as though tickets to games are easy to get hold of. They are golddust, especially when you live as far away as I do where I can't just drop everything and spend 4/5 hours travelling up to Liverpool.
I went to Liverpool v Augsburg because back in the EL was about the only time I could get a ticket and even after that I didn't stand a chance at getting tickets against United, Dortmund or Villarreal.
What do you want fans in my situation to do, drop Liverpool and support another team?

I'm not saying people are not allowed an opinion.
I'm saying that because I don't put much money in these days I don't feel so have any credibility moaning about money that they spend.
That's what clubs are and atm I'm more of a fan than a supporter because I'm not putting anything in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't moan
Being the biggest FSG loyalist on this site they will not be happy that you are not a very good "customer" for them.
I basically referred to that but in a different argument about how it wouldn't matter if the entirety of Liverpool boycotted their tickets, the demand is so high they'd get snapped up in seconds flat.
I managed to get a 3 year season ticket when the new stand opened back up again, some really good matches, but the price on that is ridiculous and I live about 75 miles away, it just wasn't sustainable of affordable really for anybody that I went with. But I know my family were on the waiting list for a season ticket for about 15 years.

Don’t understand the premise of those who don’t put regular money into the club not being allowed an opinion but that’s a debate for another day. (Even though I do put in a fair amount each year personally)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you’re looking for owners that don’t exist. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Redrow guy who tried to buy us, a Liverpool fan who I believe ended up buying Wolves?? He’d have run the club exactly how you want it run, every decision with the fans in mind. Trouble is, we’d probably be a mid table club and won nothing, because as honourable as his intentions would be, he isn’t nearly wealthy enough, nor has the right credentials to have grown us the same way FSG have.
What I’m trying to say is that it’s incredibly difficult to finance a top end football club these days, and that idealistic wish of a mega bucks owner and a fan probably doesn’t exist.

But by being a fan you create demand for the clubs product. You pay for subscriptions. Even getting up off your arris to go down to the pub because you want to watch a Liverpool game means the pub must have the game and pay the subscription and they pay for that because you buy pints, some of that money ends up with your club.
I don't know if there's a difference between fans and supporters. Football clubs need fans, they don't have to pay any actual money to the club and there shouldn't be some sort of qualification or discernment because one fan has spent money directly and another hasn't.
International revenue now outstrips local revenue by about a billion, so more money is coming into the Premier league because of fans that have mostly never set foot in England, don't buy any merchandise or anything. They just watch the game at home or at the pub and voila! Billions for the Prem and millions for the club. Are they fans or supporters?
I dont pay for subscriptions.
I'm just accounting for myself. If other people feel entitled enough to moan about our spend (which is comfortably in the top 1% of football) and go as far to simply lie that's up to them.

There's a difference between a supporter a fan and even a plastic.
Not sure why this has got so many in a fluster (I am).
If you support then support. I dont think moaning about money, lying even, making up conspiracy theories, giving it the big one when we're winning but talk about being shamed if we're not in Europe top tier competition, calling players cancer or any manner of derogatory names and generally acting as though the club owes me something because I pay a TV subscription (that I'd have anyway) and some merch every so often is being a supporter.
But that's just me.
A U-Turn is someone accepting they have done something wrong and changing tack to respond to it.
The balls to change your opinion about something when presented with superior evidence used to be a quality that people admired over blind stubbornness.
The posts on here today about FSG have been fackin laughable, which owners would people prefer?
Glazers? Leveraged buyout, taken hundreds of millions out of the club to pay for the purchase, and as dividends whilst failing to invest in the squad.. one of THE richest families in the world FFS.
Kroenke maybe? Arsenal fans don't even want him, no investment at all. A stagnant club slowly sinking down the table.
Perhaps we want a soulless oil company? Have Chelsea and City had their soul preserved? Have they fack.
Bedwetters seem to want to think the grass is always greener, but it really isn't if you look with even the slightest bit of impartiality

Then what is?
I agree with some of these but disagree with others. Like conspiracy theories are like football rumours and gossip and part of being a fan, stuff you chat about with your mates and on forums.
As for subscriptions, tv companies would not pay the Prem all those billions if people would have subscriptions anyway. They pay because football sells subscriptions, not just locally but internationally. The value of subscriptions and merchandise sales should not be understimated IMO.
