So with a Leicester v Chelsea fa cup final and both those look pretty good for top 4 now too, that means 5th, 6th, 7th will be good for Europa?

Then 8th for conference league. So please avoid 8th.

The europa league programme has very little to do with that. The issue is more that if you're in the CL, the majority of time the reason for that is that you're nowhere near good enough to win a league.

If anything with the europa, you could literally play a second 11 up to the last 16 and expect to progress.

That’s pretty true. Literally no need to play the first eleven until some way through the tournament. Giving the team the benefit of one game a week

I'd rather us not be in Europe. Not at all bothered about the Europa League or the Conference League if we end up in either. As said above, it becomes a European EFL Cup in terms of team selection, atmosphere etc.

It's extra games, extra gate receipts, extra prize money..

It’d be decent to give the likes of Elliott and other youngsters gametime in the group stages but I wouldn’t want any of our first team anywhere near those games risking injury.

If we qualified from the group then great we could look at taking the latter stages seriously, likewise if playing youngsters meant early elimination, I couldn’t give a monkeys to be honest.

Elliott should be back out on loan, will be ruined here through lack of gametime.

I don’t mind the Europa tbh. Gets fairly interesting with some decent opposition once the initial stage is out of the way.

I think he’d develop more from being amongst the squad and playing cup games here than another season in the championship personally. Obviously if he could get regular PL games somewhere that would be the ideal scenario.

I wouldn't have him play in the championship again..

He's got 17 goals + Assists in 38 games, which is good but seeing as it's a lesser league I don't think it's good enough to be pushing for a start here

If Grealish leaves Villa we’d do well to send him there for a season

We make money for winning the games in the EL.. It also affects our European coefficients and seedings when we get back in to the CL so it would be stupidity for those two reasons to attempt to throw it away..

As well as the fact that as a Liverpool fan I like to see us compete and win competitions.

Not been a good season for me. Next year is my year

On the Europa league debate, last time we were in it was one of the more fun competition runs we’ve had imo.

That Dortmund night at Anfield was outrageous.

That Dortmund game was one of the greatest atmosphere we had in the last 10 years.

The crowd played a big part in winning that game.

The EL could be interesting next season. Liverpool, Dortmund and possibly Spurs and Juventus coming in at the group stages.
