I wouldn't go as far as to say they have a better squad than City, but on paper it's probably the 2nd strongest in the league.

The depth that City have is unmatched in this league in all areas.

Not to top it's not, imo anyway.

We will see next season when we are at full strength.
At this moment time we can't play our high energy game with this championship defence. Pushing up to the half way line helps our attack but we need defenders there with pace.

Tuchel is a better manager than fat frank but there are still weaknesses in this Chelsea team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There has been a valid argument for attackers being part of the problem though, which is true. Neither Mane or Firmino have double figures this season (although the latter is no surprise). Look at the amount of chances missed against Newcastle for example. Even Salah isn't exempt from easily missed chances either, but of course he hits the net more than most.

City can play their second team and still win the league.

Chelsea have Rudiger, Christensen and Silva as their first choice defence. One injury to one of them and they are facked.

Mane seems to have lost that pace and explosiveness, literally the only guy in our team who had it. Salahs fairly quick over short distances as it Jota. Other than that we have a real lack of pace now.

Bobby issue isnt finishing, he was never a great goalscorer. Whats annoyed me with him is all of a sudden his pressing is half-arrrsed he shows for the ball in the same manner too and when hes played it after asking for it hes beaten to it often and we are often punished or almost punished for it. Hes became even more sloppy too and his carelessness on the ball is frustrating. How can a player of his quality so often take 10 attempts a game to complete a 5 yard facking pass?

Dortmund apparently interested in Ox while we're being linked with Sancho. I'm sure Edwards can work his magic and sort out a straight swap.

dont look like we're producing our next sterling anytime soon either, Elliott and Jones are similar probably both suited to a playmaker role rather than out wide. and since we play a 4-3-3 with 3 workhorses in mf will there ever be room?

Klopps got to change it up, was hoping he'd line up his next lewandowski/aubameyang already, Ings was ideal but injury prone and unlucky couldnt get a look in here. Then thought maybe brewster? we got good money but we needed our greenwood even rashford type of player coming through.

the system needs a world class cb too and pacey cbs.

the mf workhorse is being dismantled and thiagos not suiting it so again everything is pointing to another change up in systems needed, really is.

either that or a 200m transfer reshuffle, which aint happening.

Yeah, I don't think anyone can compare to what Chelsea have in the final third. To be able to leave Pulisic on the bench in a CL semi final after how he played in the first leg is crazy. They actually have more variety than City in how they can play too with Werner in behind, Havertz playing that deep striker position, Pulisic and Ziyech wide and then even Abraham and Giroud if they need a focal point to play off. You then add Mount as an attacking midfielder... I've said for the last month or two that they're a top quality Striker away from competing for the league next season. That and Kante staying fit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah this is why I can see Roman go full out for Haaland.

A striker and another defender and they are complete.

I think Klopp and his team have a lot to answer for with regards to our conditioning this season tbh.

It's a bit of a guess but it looks like they made a complete hash of it and even went as far as to hire a new Doctor in November.

As I said we need to get the caffeine doping back in kilter because they all look fvcked.

when a 35 year old milners getting in ahead of you has to be end of the road for ox keita and shaq etc surely. Wijnaldums on the way outs going to hurt and cost a pretty penny if they want to replace him. Though as ive said before on here, Tielemans from lesta or Bissouma cheaper option from Brighton seem ideal replacements. Ofc our scouting network should have a lot more cheaper options but rarely ever see a signing from league 2 france like kante or mahrez or w.e.

No way we lose four midfielders in one window surely. Keita ain't going anywhere imo.

We won't see a huge turnover, that would be stupid.

depends on the interest in them and their desires. We've shown we won't hold anyone back if they want out. Even Cout got his way eventually as our best player at the time. But if clubs are offering good money i wouldnt be surprised to see all 4 gone. Unlikely but not impossible.

Lose four, bring in three plus Elliot I reckon.
