I read Amazon are reinvesting the money they receive from channel 4 back into British women’s tennis, fair play to them for that. Wouldn’t see that from greedy Sky.

Amazon are on a massive PR campaign at the moment due to mounting pressure regarding their workers rights.
In terms of the pounds they save by avoiding/evading tax, underpaying workers, zero hours, Draconian practices etc, they are not even giving pennies on the pound to whitewash their own reputation.
Pretty sure tennis funding and wages is already gender equal?
I also brought Kane in, thankfully captained Lukaku though.
Kane was horrendously bad. Zero touches or shots inside the opposition’s box, and i think i maybe saw him sprint for a ball or close a man down once in the entire match. Genuinely seemed like he couldn’t be facked.
So that’s looking like a good transfer in then.

Pretty confident, think we’ll be fine. Think it’s going to be a season where every game has an element of pressure on it, especially with the Sunday games where the other teams played Saturday. Going to be fine margins…
Also I will be watching from the pub enjoying libations

Off topic but I'd love to see what Term has to say about this comment I picked up from another thread.
The Road Haulage Association has repeatedly petitioned for a relaxation of immigration rules to fill skills shortages. To date the government has rebuffed requests. However I don't think that's sustainable.

The current shortage occupation list is growing day by day. And the situation will get worse in the lead up to Christmas.

Brexit seems to be the main cause of these problems, not covid.
The Government could fix this quite easily by pulling money into training.
Class 1 HGV drivers are getting between £60k to £80k now, there would be no end of interest if the course was free.

I don’t see why it should be free, how much does the training cost anyways.
You have earn qualifications and that means paying for the training too.

It should be free because the super market shelves are increasingly empty and it would solve the problem that this quite frankly incompetent Government has created. If they can embezzle £100m into face masks that don't work they can subsidise skills shortages.
Education used to be free, it's a scandal that this country has duped people into thinking it shouldn't be.

But it ain’t free anymore and hasn’t been for years.
Take it from me as a Dad whose spent ten of thousands on sending a kid to uni and paying for another to get his pilot’s license.
I’m all for subsidising training and giving loans to those who want to learn new skills but you don’t get anything for free these days and if you think otherwise your being naive.

I think an interest free ‘loan’ would be fairer, and pay it back once you start earning. I don’t see why you should get free courses if you’re going to be earning 40k+.
